Bottle from AH. Copper coloured. Fruity, Turkish Delight, soft candy coming from the Sorachi Ace. Yummy. High carbonation and a bit harsh.

(Insel-Brauerei Übersee Hopfen (Japan - Sorachi Ace)) Bottle 330ml from local supermarket. Served into a shaker, ABV 5.6% Amber coloured body with a tall and thick off-white head on top. Aroma of caramel malts, old grass, some marmalade. Taste has again caramel malts, leaves, stone fruits marmalade, harsh bitterness on the finish. Medium thin body, high carbonation. Okay.

BudBlack (28) - GERMANY - JAN 26, 2018

Bottle @ friend. Murky yellow to orange colour with a medium sized white head. Smells and tastes sweet, bread, dough, yeasty. Pretty weird for an ipa. Not a great success. Medium body, soft carbo.

Thuis uit een flesje. Mooi ingepakt, stijlvol. Troebele donkeroranje kleur, mooi schuim. In de smaak vind ik dit echter geen ipa, valt een beetje tegen, wat flauw.

Zlotta (4251) - Hagen, GERMANY - JAN 5, 2018
0.33 l bottle, best before June 2019. Hazy, dark reddish amber with a medium large, foamy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, fruity-grassy aroma of lemongrass, grapefruit, mango and some spruce. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, fruity-grassy and slightly resiny taste of lemongrass, ginger, mango, grapefruit and some spruce, followed by a medium long, rather dry-bitter, herbal-grassy and slightly resiny finish. Medium body, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Fairly bland IPA, quite bitter but not overly aromatic, too much carbonation as well.

ElDesmadre (4446) - Mikołów, POLAND - DEC 28, 2017
Bottle, February 2017. Biscuity malt base, coconut, dill in the aroma. The flavour is far from spectacular, a bit empty, with earthy notes in the finish, almost overcarbonated. Quite alright.

blackisle (2943) - Amsterdam IJburg, NETHERLANDS - DEC 15, 2017
Bottle 33cl. from a local AH supermarket, @home poured into a shaker. Hazy medium golden, tall frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, light lacing; aroma pale malts, pine apple, vanilla, light mint; taste medium sweet and light to medium bitter, malty, pine apple, butter, light mint; bit stalish sweetbitter aftertaste, minerals, dusty and peppery notes; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation; not a good example of an IPA, not enough bitterness.

CH-303 (2437) - Fribourg, SWITZERLAND - DEC 15, 2017
Appearance: Medium brown, slight haze. Lots of creamy, light tan head.
Aroma: Light hops, butterscotch.
Taste: Rattling hops, light butterscotch, slight dank. One of the least IPA IPAs I've had...
Bought: Kalea Craft Beer Advent Calendar, 330 ml, CHF 2.91

bartlebier (4251) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - DEC 14, 2017
33cl bb06/2019, AdventsKaleaTürchen #13. (ah ja, for an IPA? Maybe taking the Belgian approach a bit too far...) - Steering clear of this now omnipresent semibelgian brewery's insular DE paperwrapped output, it now comes to me by accident. - Various beefs with this marketing-aggressive new enterprise, but one would be a dextrose-studded, bottle-conditioned Belgian take on British IPA resulting in: very high, unnaturally towering eggwhite foamhead, nearly a parody of Belgian bottleconditioning. Nose of dextrose and cooked white grapes, apple detergent, soapiness and yeast phenols such as a clove pepperiness. Has good, unnuanced herbal/soapy bitterness with some white grape peel, very little malt definition and even less elegance. Papery finish, leaving the palate wanting for better, juicier, less dextrose studded charms. - How in the giftwrapped world did this become London WBA2016 - World's Best IPA?!

Tayeth (712) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - DEC 14, 2017
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2017 Aroma kräuterig und nach Vanille und Mandelöl. Geschmacklich sehr bitter, nach Heu, Vanille und Tabak. Langanhaltend, relativ intensiv.
