Can. Dark gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas of papaya, pine sap, and hedge trimmings. Flavors of clean (but astringent) pine, pale malt, and mild white grapefruit. Fairly light bodied for an IPA, with an aggressive tannic bitterness. I'm not typically fond of "woody" IPAs like this, but it kinda works in this case.

More recent sample as dank bot. Copper color. Lightly hopped. Moderate malt, flavor, some grain. Neither the hop nor the malt are doing much here. It might be better classified as a session ipa because it is very drinkable. Dry finish.

Same beer as: https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/insight-brewm this title matches the can exactly, so I went with this one. From a can about 6 weeks fresh. Pours a hazy gold with spotty head and lacing. Aroma is a bit strange, with a bit of tangy, overripe fruit and a little B.O. Expected more dankness. Taste is pretty sweet through the halfway point, and then into a more pithy bitterness in the end. Again, not a lot of dankness here... more just a low malt clean bitter finish beer. Things just don’t quite add up in this one to make it great, but it is not bad and goes down quick.

Copper pour with good sized white head. Big nose of pine with citrus. Flavor is citrus with pine and big on bitterness. Very solid.

Pours a reddish, ambery-gold, with mid-sized head (really pretty beer). As befits the name, it is pretty dank in aroma, lots of pine/spruce hops, with some citrus elements. Flavor is citrus, with bitter hop background, and a bitter finish. I think it’s pretty good.

Approximately 3 oz. from a 5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Listed as “Insight Dankbot,” but with the same ABV and IBU as this entry, so I’m pretty sure I’m putting the review in the right place. Consumed on 4-13-17. Hazy bright sunset gold. Smooth beige head. Looks good. More crusty than dank smell. Armpit, mildew. Not quite as bad as it sounds but not a good aroma either. A touch of coffee, regrettably, in the aroma. Pleasant if subdued flavor. No bitterness, unfortunately. I guess the Dankbot’s job is to subdue all dankness in the taste and distort it in the aroma. Just not strong enough in flavor to merit praise. Excessively soft palate effects. Pillowy and frothy. Weak!

Tap at Butcher and the Boar with commonshawn. Bumped pint. Copper appearance with white head and decent lacing. Aroma is pine resin and grapefruit rind. Almost a wet weed aroma. Others describe it as a moss covered rubber tree. Taste is mostly hop influenced with dank being an accurate term. It’s not at the level of big time breweries dank efforts. Stone and Lagunitas crush this in terms of quality. There is a healthy bitterness and a little citrus undertone but resinous is the word of the day. Finish is clean. It’s one I would order again if at the brewery but when matched up with out of state breweries it falls short. You won’t short circuit from trying this one. Go right ahead.

On tap at busters, pours a lightly Hazy amber orange with a medium off white head. Mildly resinous citrus orange lemon and caramel malt. Lots of piney resinous hops throughout, citrus and grapefruit, different levels of bitterness and resin. Very tasty!
