UPDATED: MAY 4, 2013 Draft... RBWG 2013… Pours clear and dark brown with burnt-orange glimmers and no head. The bouquet is a malt-forward swirl of milk chocolate and caramel. Full-bodied and oily with lazy carbonation. The flavor is malty, but well-balanced and a touch too thin. The flavor is loaded with malty milk chocolate and caramel notes. Short, malty, lightly bitter finish. GT (10001) - San Diego, California, USA - NOV 28, 2011
Tap at Intuition. Poured a clear copper with a small, beige head. Nose gives off some impending infecting bacteria. Strange, heavy umami off character like iodine/seaweed/saltwater and sea vegetables. Taste is sugary maple with odd sourness/lactic acidity. Infected batch probably. drowland (8880) - Georgia, USA - FEB 11, 2013
1/22/13. On tap with the stud that rated this below me. Deep brown pour, lots of reds under the light, with almost no head at all. Rich caramel and molasses in the aroma and flavor with a touch of booze hiding in there as well. Tasty.

Appearance: Clear dark brown, no head or lacing
Aroma and flavors of Toasted malts, grainy and toffee
Ok, this one didn’t do much for me.
Brown black pour with no head or lace. Aroma of light roasted malt, light abv. Flavor mirrors the aroma with a sweet maltiness added. Medium bodied with good carbonation. thedm (6274) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - FEB 22, 2013
This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque black colored body. The mild aroma was roasted malt. with a lingering mild roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt toasted malt bourbon and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. Aurelius (5425) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 8, 2013
Interesting aroma -- lightly furity, doughy, floral/perfumy. Dark ruddy beer, looks almost clear, hard to tell in this dark room. Short, dense tan head. Tangy, earthy, fruity - green plum. Tannic. Slick mouth, heavy body, a little soap in the aftertaste. Winey and slightly twiggy/herbal occasionally. Pretty good. On tap, Proof, downstairs.
