On tap at Hunahpu's Day 2018. Poured a deep brown, near black with a small sized head. Wood/oak, earth, roast, and some dark fruits. A bit underwhelming, but there was lots of RIS at the fest. Aurelius (5741) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 10, 2017
2015 vintage. Inky pour, nice, uniform tan head. Mellow, nutty, roasted aroma, somewhat sweet. A little coffee-tart, bittersweet cocoa notes, roasty, lightly sweet, some toasted soy nut. ABV pretty well masked, but it's warming on the back end. Baker's chocolate in the finish. Heavyish body, but with good carbonation retention, and that's fine grained. Excellent. On tap, Proof Production Facility. sloth (2997) - Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA - NOV 21, 2016
Thin tan head with good retention and lacing.black in color. Muddled nose of roast, chocolate and earth. Medium bodied, low carbo, tad oily. Thin bourbon notes, stale chocolate and earthy notes. Needs more wood! Sweetly malts and some licorice. Lightly sweet finish thats a bit to long. Props to UDBeernut for donating to the cause! Thanks Art! G_Ram9 (93) - - JUN 2, 2016
I sampled the 2015 and 2016 offerings on draft at a Jax bar. I enjoyed both but went with a full pour of the 2015. This is a rich delicious stout. It has deep flavor and aroma imparted from the barrel aging and is smooth as silk. Flavors develop on the palate and the beer really opens up as it warms in the glass. Definitely a stout I'd order again!

Tallahassee, Fl. - Brass Tap - Midtown - on tap. Motor oil bkack, Viscous pour, sticky mocha colored head that leaves a fair bit of lacing. Aroma has some bourbon booziness, a touch of chocolate, hints of cherries. Flavor is similar in nature with the chocolate being most prominent, some coconut, a touch of vanilla and licorice to round it out. Smooth, creamy, thick mouthfeel. Pretty decent.
