UPDATED: OCT 24, 2014 Sample at GABF 10/03/2014, thanks to my sis for assistance with note-taking. Pours black with a medium foamy light brown head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lace. Aroma of bourbon, roast malt and chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of oaky bourbon, coffee and malt. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Pretty good all around. Shared at the Swamp Head Batch 600 release. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Pours pitch black with a small khaki head. Aroma of big roast, oak, chocolate. Flavor follows with some chocolate notes that sweeten up a beautiful medley of roasted malts and oaky barrel. There is some light bourbon sweetness here but it’s not a big, in your face bourbon. Body is thick, especially for only 8%, with medium carbonation. This was really good. Hope to try this again. snoworsummer (5628) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Poured from a purple waxed bottle from Joe! Scary multi-legged sea creature with swords on the label. Pours wry dark.brown with a fizzy tan head. Tastes like strong booze, rich coffee, strong vanilla, burnt toast. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like strong booze and vanilla, sweet chocolate and light coffee.

Happy Birthday to me Beer -- Batch two: Poured into a tulip with light brown one inch thick head, color is opaque brown. Aroma is strong bourbon with black licorice and roasted malt. Flavor is the same with a little bit of a bitterness at the end from hops. Also, detecting vanilla, heavy vanilla on further sips, as it warms I start to detect a tobacco flavor. Overall I am very pleased with Intuitions swing at my favorite style. I hope they continue to attempt and improve upon this. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - MAY 21, 2014

Sweeter than king street, this is a pretty great imperial stout. Dangerously addictive. Need more.

Bottle @ GT’s Cat Cabana. Thanks to Dr. Owl for this one. Black our with no head to speak of. Bourbon, vanilla, and brown sugar. Some chocolate, molasses, and a bit of dark fruit on the nose. Lightly vinous. Flavor is nicely sweet and fairly heavy on the bourbon/barrel. Some vanilla, brown sugar, and chocolate cake. A bit of molasses and dark fruit sweetness as well. Light roasted malt flavor. Pretty decent.
