On tap at brewery, pours dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is roast and maple. Thick mouth with coffee roast, light maple, with a light dry finish.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Proof Production Facility - on tap, with Aurelius. Inky black pour, khaki colored head, light lace. Slightly medicinal aroma with some creosote hint of chocolate. Flavor is similar with the chocolate being most prominent and the medicinal quality showing through. Decently dry mouthfeel.

Great aroma - rich nutty coffee roasted aroma. 10w40 appearance with a light tan head. Roasty and grassy. I concur with PorterPounder that it tastes a little medicinal. A good bit of coffee acidity. Medium body, clingy roast aftertaste. On tap, Proof Production Facility. tricyclist (1125) - Florida, USA - SEP 24, 2014
This is a great stout! It’s sweet and smokey with coffee and notes of chocolate. I actually really enjoy it above all of their other beers I’ve had tonight. This one is well done! rdixon77 (2945) - Georgia, USA - SEP 18, 2014
Big smokey breakfast stout. Dark brown black color. Coffee and campfire in aroma. Thankfully the taste adds some nice sweetness - maple and dark chocolate. Still really strong smokiness. Heavy and rich. Pretty decent.

Nice extremely dark brown/black in color. One centimeter of brown head that actually stayed throughout the 6oz pour. Aroma was heavily smoked, lots of coffee notes as well. Taste was extremely smokey, almost unbarable at first, but it quickly mellowed out to a sweet milky flavor. Oats lended a nice creaminess to the mouthfeel. Tasted quite a bit of coffee as well. Smoke was too forward in this beer to make it really enjoyable. kchampagne (173) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - OCT 29, 2013
I had this one at Intuition’s tasting room off a nitro tap. It poured out an opaque black with a fluffy head. The aroma was a mix between a stout and a rauchbier. The taste is what you would expect from the aroma. It had just the right amount of smokiness with hints of chocolate and coffee. I loved this one. Draft at the Brewery Another beer enjoyed in a sniffer. The stout poured a deep black, tan head and lacing. Intense aroma and taste of coffee and roasted malts. This was a joy to drink with my daughter. The flavors of licorice and BBQ wood. This is big stout with a medium body and soft carbonation. The finish was as complex as the beginning.

on tap @RBWG-JAX- A-smoke-med malt. T-smoke/chocolate-dk malt, 2nd hops, then some sweetness comes in. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAY 1, 2013
On tap at the brewpub, JAX. Nice hefty dark brown pour, copper gleaming every so often in a way that seems to suggest the maple addition to me. Thick foamy head and a nice roasty aroma. Not quite as much breakfast in this stout as expected, given that I found the maple fairly muted in the taste, but still quite an enjoyable sipper.
