UPDATED: JAN 15, 2009 From cask at Clockwork. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small yet dense off-white head. Dark fruity and roasted malty aroma. Light breadish and dark fruity flavoured. Holds a mild liqourice like note to a mild roasted malt base. Mild spiced malty yet also with a light acidic note arising out of the malt flavours. Bitter and dry finish. UPDATED: JUL 3, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Very dark, almost mahogany with a discreet off-white head. Extremely aromatic both from the malts and the very nice aroma hops. Dry, fresh in both nose and flavour. Pronounced bitterness. An excellent ale alltogether. 240205 madmitch76 (25009) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2009
22nd June 2008. Brown clear beer. Starts with a pronounced maltiness but rapidly gives way to a citrussy hoppy bitter finish. A little too bitter. cgarvieuk (24800) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 1, 2007
A ruby coloured ale, thats a typical bitter malt, nicly balanced but bit to bitter to my taste.
