2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
(cask Bow Bar)
AROMA: banana, peach, vanilla
APPEARANCE: pale, white foam, minimal head
TASTE: medium sweetness, lightly bitter,
PALATE: medium body, creamy, soft carbonation,
OVERALL: good body, but too sweet for my taste
Quite a smooth, rich taste with backbone of silky malt (pretentious as that sounds). Overall a very satisfying beer.

On cask at the Haymarket.
Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Slight haze.
Nose - toffee and more toffee.
Taste - toffee with the merest hint of biscuit and spice.
Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy and sweet texture and I’d just like a cleaner drier finish.
Overall - decent. Stuu666 (13435) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 16, 2014
Cask at the Amber Rose. Pours clear amber, bitter but flat and not much else there. allmyvinyl (10634) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 12, 2014
Cask at the white lady. Pours clear amber, thin white head. Oat sweet aromas, taste is all hob-nobs. Not great. The_Osprey (8010) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2014
Cask at the Falcon. Orange, light haze, still, small white head, full lacing. Aroma has varnish, grass. Body is medium, smooth, fairly high carbonation for cask. Taste is quite drying, malt-forward, sweet toffee-ish, some resin, floral hop character, soft bitterness.

Gravity cask at the Bedford Beer Festival. A shade lighter than honey brown. Very clear. Aroma of malt, orange juice, cinnamon and clove. With such an exciting bouquet, I am somewhat disappointed by the taste: very
middle-of-the-road malty bittersweet. However I’m more keen on the spicy honeyed citrus finish, and the beer as a whole does grow on me. john44 (3101) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2014
Cask Pint in Wibbas Down Inn (JDW), Wimbledon in Nov 2013 - Amber Gold in colour. Malty; toasty malts, caramel. Fruity; orange. Hoppy; grassy Saaz hops. Sweetish malty fruity throughout. Drinkable. imdownthepub (14557) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2013
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with thin white head. Initially toffee’d malts developing to a flowery, perfumed tartish flavour. Fruity later. Not great. Scottishchris (723) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - NOV 18, 2013
On tap at Cafe Royal. Pours with good white head which lasts well. Brown amber colour. Sweet bitter. Bit if metal finish? Ok, but not great leaparsons (10554) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2013
Cask, The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Golden with an off white foam. Aromas are biscuit and caramel with mellow, jammy lemon and leafy aspects. Some nuttiness with bready yeast. Flavours are sweet caramel with toasted notes. Sweet and sour sauce with leafy, spicy notes. Stewed apple with a lightly peppery finish. A bit of a throwback but not bad.
