Cask at Greyfriars, Perth- 28 December 2013. Amber colour with not much lacing. Plenty of spices and sweet malt in the aroma. Flavour is banoffee type sweetness and mild bitterness. Better than expected. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ochre colour with small white head. Aroma of sweet malt, honey and spices. Taste of malt and some spices. Soft bitter finish. Light-bodied and sof/flat carbonation.

Caramel-amber colored beer with a thin white head that dissipates quickly into a surface foam. Sweet, resiny nose of light butterscotch, nutmeg, and vanilla. Flavor is not as sweet as the aroma, thankfully, but it is more sweet than anything else with undertones of subtle spice. This is followed by a light bitterness that sets it off a little bit. Still, there’s a waxy quality to the flavor that’s a little off putting. Not something I would seek out again.

some banana and butter in the nose. there’s some spice as it opens up -- definitely cinnamon notes, very assertive. nutmeg is also easy to sense. smells like the gluwein i make at christmastime! nice dark butterscotch/amber color, big white head. lots of flavors jumbling around in this one, from spice, to butter to tangy notes. a bit thin on body. oxidation. this one is very old.

Takie sobie przecietne piwo. Spodziewalem sie sporo lepszych wrazen. Piana spora i trwala ale zapach prawie rzaden. Smak rozwodnionego bittera z lekka nuta przypraw zimowych i cynamon gdzies daleko w tle.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear, medium amber, with a big white frothy head and lots of long-lasting lace. The aroma is rich, malty and with hints of resin. The flavour is weak bitter, smooth and malty. The finish is bitter and the malt hangs around too. Serve cool in the Asian heat or warm in front of log fire in an English pub!

Bottle, february 7th 2013. Clear amber body, low white head. Aroma of toffee and cinnamon. Taste is very malty with some more cinnamon, sweet palate and medium body, not bad but admittedly boring-

From the 500 ml. bottle, 2012 batch. The pour is a reddish-copper tone with a modest foamy head that leaves a soft coat of lacing on the glass. The aroma is of sweet malts, baked bread, and cranberries. The body is medium. The taste is sweetish up front with a decent lingering bitterness at the end. Rather pleasant overall.
