B.man is a smooth all-malt strong New Zealand Pilsner with an enticing hop aroma of tropical fruits, styled to compliment authentic Indian cuisine. The perfect accompaniment to curry.

Tasting Notes:
One of this country’s finest aromatic Pilsners and a showcase for New Zealand’s uniquely herbaceous hop varieties, B.Man pours an attractive bright gold beneath a lingering fluffy white head. In both the aroma and palate biscuity sweet malt provides the luscious canvas on which the hops play and their citrusy and tropical (passion) fruit flavours lead into an emphatic, resiny, dry finish. Lip-smackingly good and the perfect match for a hot Thai curry!

Bottled. A golden with a white. The aroma has notes of hops, spices, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, hops, spices, ånd sirup, leading to a bitter finish. More like an IPA

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a pretty, deep golden with a small, white head. Malty aroma with a whiff of fruit. Medium body and quite a solid malt base - lightly sweet malts - and a touch of honey. The finish is dry and lightly bitter - no, it actually turns out to be VERY bitter! A clean and solid offering. 280108

Guest tap at The Twisted Hop, early October 2009. Pours clear amber with a medium white head- a bit darker than most lagers. Aroma of citrus, hops, malt, a little skunk. Flavor is malty, with hops and citrus, and slightly skunky. Light body, somewhat watery. I’m not sure if something was off with this one, but it was okay. All the Twisted Hop beers were better, so maybe it just suffered from comparison.

DuffMan (10723) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 4, 2009
Deep bronzy gold, thick white head. Very hoppy nose, lots of tropical fruit and citrus. The palate is fairly bursting with hops as well: passionfruit, guava, and lemon rind. Incredibly bitter finish. A delicious, flavourful, well-crafted lager.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy light amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry, crisp yeasty, light floral citrus palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. I’m sure it’s a fine beer to accompany a curry, but then again, so is water.

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 24, 2014
Metal, apples, stale crackers, DMS cauliflower and cabbage, orange gelatin. Medium body, syrupy, low bitterness, sour, seemingly low sweetness and low carbonation. Wet dog hair and nuts and granny smith apples. A pointless beer.

this may have been sweet but at least it wasn't nutty. i guess it's an ipa, though it's not particularly hoppy by any standards other than new zealand's

mkel07 (6434) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 6, 2011
330ml bottle. Llooks fairly robust for a premium lager with a strong orange body and crisp white foam head. A little bit a haze but this does not detract vfrom the appearance. Hop aromas mingled with passionfruit and citrus but not overpowering. Smooth and light on the palate with some fruit flavours coming through. An all round good beer.

skortila (5996) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JAN 23, 2014
Bottled. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma is malty sweetish and citric. Clear, golden coloured beer with a white head. Taste is light bitter with slightly citric hops. Easy drinking.

sunevdj (4137) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - APR 8, 2008
Pours a sparkling golden with a small white head. Quite sweet and somewhat bitter. Strongish malt aromas of grains. Slightly fruity. Also a hint of dates. Light alcohol notes. Medium to full bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Long bitter finish. Nice full roundness.
