The aroma is hoppy with much less citrus than one might expect. The beer has a smooth start and an acidic finish in the mouth. The taste is similar with some good balance starting out finished by what I find excessive bitters. bigben873 (258) - Virginia, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Light hop aroma, dark amber, somewhere between a regular IPA and an imperial. Smooth and malty like an imperial but a little bitter and not as full bodied, like a regular IPA. -March madness 2014 bkurtz (1108) - LITHUANIA - JAN 23, 2014
Pours a hazy orange with a smallish head. Nice aromas of caramel and orange. It has a nice balance, but the finish is a bit off. Wittales (762) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JAN 16, 2014
Appearance was cloudy deep orangish gold with diminishing off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are floral citrus and pine with strong sweet malts, no alcohol. Taste are sweet caramal upfront gives way to pine, grapefruit, lemon, touch of tangerine. Palate was soft creamy smooth CO2 with meduim body, lasting piney sweet citrusy finish. A malty citrus piney solid IPA.

Draft. Murky brown with head that dissipates. Very little carbonation. Sour mediocre ipa taste. So so.

Tap. Light copper pour with a thin white head. Pine, floral, bread, citrus. Easy carbonation in a medium body. Bitter finish but well balanced. Very straight forward good IPA ronaldtheriot (1952) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Ipswich I.P.A. has a medium, off-white head, a hazy, orange-gold appearance, some bubble streams, and thin lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of sweet, white bread and citrusy hops. Taste is of citrus, toffee, caramel, sweet, white bread, and a hearty, but at the same time, subdued bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and slick, and Ipswich I.P.A. finishes mostly dry, refreshing, relatively easy drinking, and bitter. No alcohol shows itself with this beer. Overall, this is most excellent. Pours a dark cloudy orange amber with a medium off white head. Aroma and taste is citrus pine hops upfront becomes more earthy as it warms up with some mild citrus fruity notes, caramel malt and yeast. Palate is a medium body, carbonation is fine. Finishes with a good caramel malt and yeast background followed by some good earthy hops bitterness for balance. Seems slightly heavy on the malt but still good. Definitely a different IPA..not the usual straight hop drink I’m used to. This has a bit of maltyness to it and is quite dry to finish as well. Roasted notes with a rather weak aroma. Not a bad beer...slightly spicy and bitter to finish. jjgmd (2180) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUL 12, 2013
Pours a rusty dark copper color with a small head. Nose is deep citrus and hoppy. Taste is bitter from start to finish with moderate citrus, no appreciable sweetness in my opinion . No lacing. Finish is bitter and long lasting. Gotta love the hops in this one. quaff score 7 / 10
