Draft at Scholars. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Has some solid roasted malt notes on the nose and tongue with a hint of chocolate. Finished clean. Not bad. JDBaker11058 (2351) - Maryland, USA - MAY 29, 2017
appearance: inky, silky black pour, scant creamy light tan head. aroma: general roast, dark chocolate, molasses, soy sauce. taste: bitter dark chocolate, roasty espresso, molasses, soy sauce. finish: lingering dry bitterness and roasty notes; profile is full and slick. notes: Solid stout for sure, although the umami was a little more pronounced than I like in the style.

From old tasting notes. Opaque black, brown color. Thick rocky tan head. Aromatic roasted malt nose hints at chocolate and floral hops. Wonderful bittersweet roasted malt flavor with notes of coffee and chocolate. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. An outstanding Oatmeal Stout.

Bottle at brunch. This gets the job done. It’s pretty sweet, pretty smooth, and an all around pretty nice stout. Exceptionally unexceptional. floydslip (422) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 7, 2017
Dark brown beer with a medium foamy dark beige head. Nose of semi-sweet cocoa, mocha, and black bread. Flavor is rich with roasted grain, coffee, and dark chocolate finished with a smoky bitterness over a slightly sweet vanilla core. Slightly watery with perky carbonation, the body is a bit of a let down, but the flavor makes up for it. Decent. BuckeyeBoy (8499) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 26, 2016
