Bottle poured a clear amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, light fruittiness and light earthiness with a crisp lingering carmel finish. blipp (9590) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 31, 2013
Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Sweet and lightly toasted malts, with lighter earthy notes, followed by a relatively clean malty finish. Pretty good. douglas88 (9569) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 18, 2012
In bottles at GABF 2012. Pours a clear light amber color with a medium white head. A nice nose of caramel and dusty malts. A pretty simple dry flavor with caramel and biscuit. OK. drowland (8938) - Georgia, USA - MAY 6, 2012
5/6/12. 12oz bottle. Clear amber pour with a small khaki head that fades fast. Very plain aroma with touches of sweet caramel. Sweet caramel entry with a hint of tartness and fruitiness with a surprising bitter, dry finish. For an amber lager, this should be more easy-drinking. This tastes... off. Tallahassee, FL - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper pour, light off-white head that dissipates quickly, Aroma has some brief caramel notes, a hint of hard candy. Flavor is slightly bland and a bit metallic. Brief wisps of caramel, some cola, not much else. Mouthfeel is slightly metallic. So-so.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange white head that lingers and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweetish with touches of butterscotch, nut and sulfur. The flavor was tangy and somewhat bitter with faint caramel and a touch of fruit. Medium length bitter and tangy finish. Light body. Eh. cheap (6007) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 25, 2016
Rating found in old notebook 2014. Pour is darker than your typical ubiquitous pale yellow lager, more brownish. No head, just a froth on top. Aroma is slightly sweet. Flavor has a slight tinge of bitterness. Interestingly industrial background qualities in there. Finish is non offensive, quite friendly and lagerlike. This beer can easily be enjoyed, it lacks any hints of that tough Iron City. Overall OK, but the taste leaves something to be desired after the looks of this beer were so darkish. Bronze, clear, fizzy bone head. Good graphics. Not ambitious, but drinkable. Parched cereal aroma with some sweet malt. Just the slightest bit of roast, a little caramel, not very bitter or otherwise obviously hopped. Generally gave me the impression of a decent session brew. Clean finish. I could see going through a sixer at a tailgate party easily. New Leaf Market. Nekronos (4174) - Xalapa, MEXICO - MAR 25, 2014
Quite smooth and very thin. Enjoyable at some point but nothing special about it further. LinusStick (3497) - Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 5, 2011
Very boring amber lager. Aroma was so so. Slight hints of caramel malt with some peanut and metal. Pour was stunning. Very full deep red with a one finger off white head. Taste was not very good. Strong metallic flavor and toasted malt in the front with not much aftertaste. Very bland. Decent carbonation. Good intro beer for pale lager drinkers, but not very significant otherwise.
