Rating found in old notebook 2014. Pour is darker than your typical ubiquitous pale yellow lager, more brownish. No head, just a froth on top. Aroma is slightly sweet. Flavor has a slight tinge of bitterness. Interestingly industrial background qualities in there. Finish is non offensive, quite friendly and lagerlike. This beer can easily be enjoyed, it lacks any hints of that tough Iron City. Overall OK, but the taste leaves something to be desired after the looks of this beer were so darkish. Quite smooth and very thin. Enjoyable at some point but nothing special about it further. Fech (291) - Parsippany, New Jersey, USA - JAN 28, 2014
Purchased in the steel city. Very drinkable light amber. Decent flavor mild carbonation. Good all night beer if you’re looking to break away from a normal light brew. N3lson1 (1005) - Long Valley, New Jersey, USA - JAN 19, 2014
Got this from the Black and Gold Dist. in Pittsburgh, PA. A decent amber but nothing great. Nice caramel, earthy aroma, pours amber in color with little head. MarkSachon (1023) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 20, 2013
12 oz bottle from Fun Fest on Freeport Road in Pittsburgh. Might be too sweet with very detectible sugars and caramels. Plenty of smoothness that comes from an overpowering creaminess. Overdone in both of these categories.

Bottle poured a clear amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and light fruittiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, light fruittiness and light earthiness with a crisp lingering carmel finish. blipp (9289) - La Mesa, California, USA - MAY 31, 2013
Bottle. Pours amber with an off white head. Sweet and lightly toasted malts, with lighter earthy notes, followed by a relatively clean malty finish. Pretty good. troutbum66 (1) - Lower Burrell, USA - MAR 31, 2013 does not count
A nice slightly hoppy lager. Everyone that has ever tasted it agrees that this beer is Iron City’s best effort. I am a home brewer and just bottled my version of this tasty craft beer. Try this beer and revisit Iron City again! douglas88 (9192) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 18, 2012
In bottles at GABF 2012. Pours a clear light amber color with a medium white head. A nice nose of caramel and dusty malts. A pretty simple dry flavor with caramel and biscuit. OK. RONCOD (247) - Uledi, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 29, 2012
Pours a dark amber color with very little head. Sweet caramel flavor. It could use a little more carbonation. This is a very tasty beer.
