DrnkMcDermott (3072) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - JUL 20, 2012
Opens with a big nose of corn adjunct. Its a pretty decent pour, clear but awfully light yellow, and a scrum of bubbles on top. Taste is less than inspiring for the story of a struggling local brand. A bit sugary and fusel, Im pretending theres some kind of hop balance there, maybe even of the Noble variety, but it just doesnt match up to even that little bit of imagination. Guess I should admit that those local brands that survived so long did so by imitating the cheapest aspect of the big brewers.

Bottle into pils glass, because why not. Bubbly clear golden color with tad off-white head. Aroma notes of pale malt sweetness, crackery, faint straw, tad grass and even fainter fruity esters. Taste adds corn, metallic and light graininess. Light body, heavy carbonation, crisp, with clean finish. Aroma seems tad promising, pretty weak after that. Another boring pale lager down the hatch!

Location: 16 oz purchased at PNC park Appearance: Light golden. fizzy white head of white bubbles Nose: crisp light cracker malt. Sharp hay hops. Taste: Lightly sweet with a faint hop bitterness Body: thin and fluid. Watery. Parting thoughts: A typical pale yellow boring lager beer. had to, though I was in Pittsburgh.

Bottle. Aroma of hay, grass. Poured clear golden thin white head. Medium sweet taste. Very thin texture and very light watery body. Finishes with light sweetness and hints of hop. Very clean finish. Overall not much too it, even for a pale lager.

Cybercat (5568) - Georgia, USA - OCT 26, 2015
Pours clear light golden with a thick and frothy eggshell head that says hello and quickly exits. Aroma is crisp and malty, typical and uninspiring. Typical flavor presents malty and weak fruity tones. Mouthfeel lacks fizz and body, but at least it is distinguishable from water. Well, its another rating.

Scuzz Twittly said it best when he crooned: "Iron City is shitty and the town smells like a turd/when you see black and gold just flip em the bird". Its true. and who am I to disagree with Scuzz? No muy amigo, avoid this, like you avoid sobriety. Head to the warm loving embrace of Blatz....which is ALL that is right in this world. It is what it is....and shall be....or not.
