Bottle at Chris and Ruth’s Shindig 2015. Slightly hazy golden beer with a rich offwhite head. Hoppy citrus aroma, caramel, bready, hay, some fruits. Tap at the brewery. Pours clear copper with a medium, fizzy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is toast and honey malt, light Sherry, pear and apple esters with light earthy hops. Tap at local cantina. Nose is sweet malt and color is nice amber. Very sweet - too much even. Smooth and silky with little froth head. A bit of hip bite but not too much. Not very complex for a tripel. Would look elsewhere.
