COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In case you’re one of the 3 people that haven’t figured it out yet, we at Iron Fist are fans of everything unfettered by and silly notions of "tradition". So our latest insurrection is a two-for. We brewed a huge Belgian style Trippel and hopped the (expletive deleted) out of it. Being the counterculturalists that we are, we decisively chose to use the finest imported European hops we could get our hands on rather than the ubiquitous West Coast style varieties. We even threw in some varieties so new they still have that new hop smell. A robust malt character helps balance this truly one-of-a-kind brew.
Brewed for KnB Wine Cellars 3rd Anniversary.

Stouts and Porters II. Cloudy amber beer, off white head. Palate is light and a little dry. Mild fine carbonation. Light sweet dry malts, fair amount of sweet aniseed alcohol. Sugary sweet dried fruits and a does of paint stripping ethanol. Has a kind of ramped up Tripel sweetness here but there is way too much obvious alcohol.

Draft at Churchkey. Murky golden color, massive tan head, amazing retention. Aroma of orange peel > lemon peel. Taste of citrus, rising bread bread dough. Decent.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2016 Bottle shared at Bruce’s, London during The Stouts Tasting, Pt. II - many thanks to Ken-O. Pours hazy, red-gold with a modest, foamy white head. Lots of yeasty, sugary malts in the nose, suggestions of banana, candi sugar. Huge sweet flavor, lots of alcohol, some bitter pine needles and grass, sugary dough, yeast. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warm to hot finish, bubblegum, sugary doughy bread, light white wood, syrupy sugars, dry banana. It is way too sweet and heavy; not a joy to drink during the twilight of a big stouts tasting, but I suppose there is a time and place for a beast like this. (19 March 2013, score: 3.3)

Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Cheers! Pours clear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds lightly aged pine, crackery pale malts, ripe orange. Big sweet flavour, boozy, a bit harsh, with more bread and pine needles. Full bodied with average carbonation. Hot finish, with grainy pale malts, peach, pale bread. OK. (August 2015, score: 3.3)

Bottle at Chris and Ruth’s Shindig 2015. Slightly hazy golden beer with a rich offwhite head. Hoppy citrus aroma, caramel, bready, hay, some fruits. Fruity malty flavor, grassy, boozy, hay, floral notes. A bit too strong for me, but with some nice touches.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Dutchdrebus. Hazy orange color, medium to full sized white head. Aroma is malts, sweetish, a bit old it seems. Taste malts, sweet hops, medium bitter. Unbalanced and all over the place imo. Not very good unfortunately.

Bottle - Sweet Belgian yeast, grass, spice and some booze. Copper with a rich beige head. Stone fruit, boozy sweetness, bittering hops and a sweet bitter finish. Not my thing.
