Pours a deep coffee brown with a creamy tan head, nice lacing. Nose of cocoa, roasted malts and a touch of coffee. Very creamy on the palate, best brew I’ve had from Iron Fist so far. Ernest (7748) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 22, 2014
Head is initially small, frothy, brown, mostly diminishing.
Body is black.
Aroma is moderately to heavily malty (chocolate syrup, roasted grain), lightly hoppy (grapefruit), with notes of vanilla, alcohol.
Flavor is heavily sweet, lightly bitter.
Finish is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium to full body, syrupy/velvety texture, lively/soft carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Very simple aroma of the usual stout suspects: chocolate, vanilla, and some roast. Very sweet in the mouth; kinda decadent/rich mouthfeel but kinda syrupy too. Difficult to drink much of and not very interesting to nose, so...yeah, just mediocre. mjs (7532) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 22, 2014
(Bottle, 0.75 l - BB 1-1-16, from Systembolaget, 20141122) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had saltiness, liquorice and burnt malts. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were saltiness, liquorice, sweetness, burnt malts, ash and bitterness. Afteraste had liquorice, saltiness, ash and bitterness. A nice balanced imperial stout. VastActiv (7413) - Oulu/Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 22, 2014

75 cl bottle @ VastActiv, BBE 1.1.2016. Thanks mjs!
Aroma has soy sauce, chocolate and some salty licorice. Flavour has salty licorice, cocoa and some semi-dark chocolate. Too salty for me, but not bad still.

Pours pitch black with a bubbly head. Aroma of roasty malts, licorice, soy sauce, dark chocolate and coffee. Taste is roasty, dark chocolatey with notes of licorice, soy sauce and coffee. Finish is smooth, sweetish and roasty with loads of licorice. Pretty good, but nothing special.
On tap at Yardhouse San Diego. Pours very dark brown with a very thin tan head. Aroma is roasty with slight malt. Flavor is roasty no malt backbone at all. Very thin body. Watery. Disappointing.

I love the way this pours: deep dark and very opaque. There’s a black-strap molasses aroma once the rich brown bubbly head gives way a bit. The head from a second swirling has a much darker richer tone (once the initial head already faded). Its got a big velvety mouth-feel (as promised) and a beautifully complex palate of espresso, chocolate, roasty malt. I love this. it reminds me of the really thick part of monkey bread from the bottom of a dutch oven. Niksko (624) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 18, 2014
Pours black with a tan head. Nose is raisins, coffee, caramel. Flavor is coffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon, raisins. Not too heavy for 9%. Pretty good. outlawskies (480) - Ohio, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Julie says. Kind of smokey. And boozy. Very big. But it is very nice complex. Big black she gives a 4.0
