Aroma of raisins, dates, licorice and cocoa. Deep black with a moderate tan foam top. Full, rich flavors of chocolate, coffee, fudge and molasses. Very thick and rich. Overall, this is a heavy beer with over the top richness and tons of malt. I’d give this a B+ rating.

Black colour on the body, small thin dark brown head on on top, low retention.
Aroma of chocolate, soy sauce, roasted malts, molasses.
Taste of roasted malts, oats, chocolate, dark fruits, light alcohol, soy sauce. Espresso hints on the finish.
Medium thick body, soft carbonation.

Poured from a 750ml bottle. Pours as black as one would expect an imperial stout to pour. There is a lot of roasted malt character in this beer, ash, chocolate-milk and dark, licorice, tobacco. There is a light tartness/acidity in the finish, I find this in a lot of very roasty beers. There is a burnt toast note that comes out in the very end of the swallow. Pours opaque sable with a thick and fine-bubbled tan head. Aroma delivers firm chocolate, roast malt, coffee and toasted woody hops with a hint of molasses. Flavor offers all of the above, though less coffee and more molasses, and tossing in a snippet of toffee. Firm, smooth body features good fizz and a mocha, woody finish. Rating #2123 - 2015.10.12 - Bottle from Cellar (2014). Big bubbly black pour with a tan head that bubbles/oozes slowly. Aroma is heavy roast malt, coffee grounds, chalk, caramel,mild vanilla. 9/4/16. Bomber. Black pour under a really nice tan head, great lacing. Looks good! Wonderful aroma, creamy, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, touches of caramel and dark fruits. Great flavor, mixed chocolates, enough dryness and dark malt bitterness to balance, lingering ashy aspects, touches of dark fruits and just barely a metallic touch.
