COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Goatmeal Stout pours a dark espresso brown with a thick mocha-colored head. It opens with a full creamy richness with hints of chocolate and coffee. It finishes with a dry, light roast. Notes: We thought that this stout would be a slow mover in summer but it has been a big hit and we are moving through our stock very quickly.

Bottle in Seattle. Nice dark brown head on a dark, roast brown-Black body. Light roast and oatmeal nose. Sip is moderately sweet but on par for an oatmeal stout. Light licorice and cocoa. Thin bitterness, espresso. Quite nice, ‘straight’ oatmeal stout. Enjoyable.

Draft @ Red Lion GEG. Aroma is roasty, slightly sweet. Dark black color, with dark tan head that dissipates. No lacing. Flavor is definitely roasty and smooth. Med bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, a pretty good oatmeal stout.

14 Oz draft- Pours black with a small light tan head. Aroma is sweet, caramel, chocolate. Taste is like a dessert, chocolate syrup, coffee. Enjoyed this much more than I thought I would, there is a bit of an off note, but it’s really not all that distracting.

Draught in a flight at the brewpub. Pours a near black color. Nose has a lot of roasting to it, and this is actually the first oatmeal stout I’ve ever had where the oatmeal is very salient in the nose. Taste is nicely roasty with a slight bit of sweetness to it. Easily their best beer. Me gusta mucho.

At brewery. Pours a deep rich black with hints of red. Thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Nose is huge, roast, coffee, chocolate. Easy rich taste, delivers on nose but isn’t too heavy. Very drinkable.
