Dark brown amber, no head. Nose of soy sauce, mixed with dark chocolate. Sweet taste, with a limited fruitiness and flavours of valeric acid, cat’s pee! Some caramel. Creamy MF, well bodied, slick. On tap at the North Wales location. Pours a slightly hazy mahogany brown (red when held to the light) with a small off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of dark fruits, Belgian spices and some citrus. Flavor was a light roastiness, candied sugars, slightly tart and lightly spicy. Had this back to back with the Tripel and the Tripel won out.

Draught in North Wales. Clear copper body with a small, frothy, off-white head. Nose has pleasant floral and banana esters with some caramelization, suggestions of sweet yams, and a gentle note of smoke. Medium sweet flavor of caramel, a touch of light roast, bubble gum, and woody hop flavor and bitterness. Somewhat sticky palate. Tap in North Wales. Poured a medium brown color body with an off-white head. Very yeasty aroma with some sweet dark fruits. Flavors are sweetish yeast and light carmel with some raisins and figs in the finish. Appears a mahogany color with a small off white head and scattered lacing.
Smell is of raisins, prunes, and bready yeast.
Taste is of the same sweet aromas with a pleasantness that seems to be a nice take on a Belgian Dubbel.
