From a corked magnum. Deep Amber reddish orange with thin semi Lacy beige head; aroma is so complex a blend of tart yeasty fruity malty woody notes; Flava is mild malt soft yeasty tartness notes of molasses; feels medium foamy very effervescent but soft and leaves a nice tingle in the tongue; finishes semi tart and malty sweet bready like buttered toast tgncc (3145) - Bellmore, New York, USA - DEC 12, 2013
The aroma is dried fruit, toasted malt. Not. Sweet or fruity as expected for an English barley wine. The appearance is amber, hazy, cream colored head. The flavor is fruit, caramel, toffee. The finish is sweet, bread, not bitter at all. Strange barley wine. Hopless, no bitterness. Not overly sweet. Enjoyable overall, though. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAR 15, 2013

On tap at the Iron Hill Belgium Comes to West Chester event. Dry and sweet at the same time. A bit odd in the body. Moderate malty sweetness with a bit of fruit. Slightly metallic in the finish.

Growler pour from Brian with some heads. Pours a amber orange shade, very hazy. Tiny head and lacing. Aromas/taste were very sweet with toasted malt, caramel, hay, fruits. Very syrupy, with lots of mollases. Medium bodied barleywine. Sticky palate. Not bad. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 10, 2012
Pours a nice ruby color with a medium tan head....nice color and decent lacing and retention. Aroma has lots of dark fruit...sticky hoppiness. Flavor is pretty sweet...fruity...candied fruit...with just a touch of earthy bitterness and the faintest hint of leather. Mouthfeel is full and syrupy with a warming fruity/earthy dry finish. madmitch76 (26448) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 3, 2012
