2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tasted this at the Lancaster City brew pub.
Light golden - straw colored appearance.
A heavier head. Very tangy with a lemony acid touch.
An interesting offering.
On tap at Lancaster location (7/25/15). Apple notes, wheaty. Not tart or sour. Pale straw clear with white head. Light body with medium carbonation. Apple juice and chardonnay. Clean and refreshing but not really like a traditional Berliner weisse. Wheaty-malt finish and carbonic after. orangesol (1022) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 4, 2014

A – Pours pale yellow with a small half finger tall white head leaving light lacing down the glass.
S – Smells of lemon zest, chewy wheat, and a touch of light funk. This one is pretty spot on for the style.
T - Starts off with a strong tart lemon kick slowly giving way to a mix of chewy wheat and a very light sweetness that fades quickly. The lemon is strong but the wheat helps to bring it back down to earth. The finish is a mix of tartness and chewy wheat. This is easy to drink, perfect for a hot day like today.
M - Light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Tart, crisp, feel with a mix of lemon and chewy wheat lingering on the pallet for a short period of time. Very nice, light, feel that is easy to drink.
O - I really liked this one. It was very easy to drink and the flavors were spot on for the style. I might have to try this one with one of the syrups in it next time but the regular version is very good as well.
(backlog) RBSG ’11 GT Bottle. Light yellow pour with white head. Lactic, citrus, light funk, flavors. Would probably enjoy this more now that I did then. jcartamdg (3539) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 4, 2014
On tap at iron hill chestnut hill. Pours a light yellow with a thick white head. Aroma of wheat, lacto and lemon. Taste is tart, lemons, wheat with a slightly sweet finish. Solid Berliner, I would drink this all the time if I lived up here! callmemickey (4561) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 21, 2014
Simple Berliner. Clear pale yellow body, thin white head, minimal lacing. Straight lemon juice. Just a hint of lactic tartness--of which it could use more. Light bodied, gentle carbonation, nice pop of acidity. Lack complexity.

GABF 2012. Pours with a pale yellow hued body with a somewhat quick to fade white head. Aromas are grainy, nutty, whtea, low acid, light esters. Flavors are lightly lactic, grainy, lemony, toasty. Somewhat watery with high carbonation, medium dry. Pretty tame. boxofrane (2559) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 22, 2013
Draft at the Phoenixville brewpub. Pours clear yellow with a medium sized white head that dissipates quickly. The nose is very limited with some light lemon. The taste is quite tart, big lemon kick, dry finish with a lingering tartness. Very good. sonnycheeba (6695) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 27, 2013

On draft at GABF 2012. Pours a clear yellow with a white head. Nose is big lemon and lactic with slight bread. Flavor follows with a huge lemon and sour presence followed by a very drying finish. Nice, very cleansing berliner. douglas88 (9836) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 18, 2012
Drank at GABF 2012. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head,. A sweet nose with honey and lemons. The flavor is very easy and light with low tartness, sweet honey, light toasted malts. Decent. We need this on tap in Utah due to the low ABV!
