pours a dark chestnut color with a thin tan head. aroma has mild bourbon and toasted coconut. flavor follows suit...bourbon is present but mild and not boozy...definite toasted coconut and light roastiness...hint of vanilla and a bit of roasty bitterness that helps cut the sweetness. mouthfeel is light/medium and the finish is warming coconut lingering to bourbon accents. Draft at IHP. Poured hazy mahogany with minimal head. Nose was brown sugary caramel malt, molasses, honey, vanilla, and bourbon. Tasted rich, on the sweet side, with a great malty flavor, brown sugar, molasses, cacao, vanilla, and oaky bourbon with a hint of finishing vanilla. Very complex, very enjoyable, and very good.
