At North Wales location. Cloudy copper with off-white head. Malty bourbon nose. Big heafty flavor, rich and alcoholic with alcohol burn. Lots of flavor. reggiedunlop (3724) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 25, 2013
Pours an opaque ruby/amber with a medium off white head...nice lacing and retention, particularly for a BA beer. Aroma has lots of dark fruit and mild peaty scotch with bourbon and vanilla peeking through. Flavor is sweet with brown sugar, vanilla, and mild dark fruits all drying a bit to roasty/slightly peaty malts and oaky bourbon. Mouthfeel is light and a bit thin but warms nicely with a dry roasty/earthy finish reminiscent of the sweet vanilla and brown sugar. alobar (3782) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 8, 2012
Dark brown color with a white head. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, and oak. Bourbon flavor with vanilla, peat, and oak. Really nice beer. pineypower (3325) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - MAR 2, 2011
Pours a moderate brownish color with a slight white lacing head. Aroma is of earth, bourbon and some light sweetness. Taste is slightly lighter on the body for a bigger beer, but doesn’t lack complexity. Taste is of vanilla, oak, bourbon, some light soil notes and some lingering sweetness. Another solid bourbon aged Iron Hill brew. closey22 (1945) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - FEB 26, 2011
Subtle Bourbon notes, which is good I think. Dark brown sugary vanilla aroma, blend of spicy sweet and syrupy flavors. Finishes long, sweet, yet, dry.......

On tap at newark local... Nitrogen pour into a thistle glass, redish in color. Good cascading head. The aroma was touch of bourbon, malts and sugar. Taste was the same, sweet malts, sugar and just a touch of bourbon. Really easy to drink. Creamy smooth. Good beer that wasnt overdone. Swolf3 (262) - Elkton, Maryland, USA - FEB 20, 2009
On nitro @ Newark location. Poured gold in color with huge white head, and took a while to settle. Aroma was bourbon, wood, sweet and malt. Taste was caramel, earthy, bourbon, wood, and sweet malt. Texture was very smooth and surprisingly light. Enjoyed the nitro tap and the bourbon was not over done. A well done brew. User37895 (3042) - - FEB 20, 2009
On draft at the Newark location. The pour was amber-reddish with a haze, much lighter than I was anticipating. Served on nitrogen, slow cascading fallout, large head. The nitrogen was probably a good addition to this BA brew, keeping the bourbon tame in the aroma and flavor. Aroma was also lightly grassy, sweet malts. The flavor was caramel malts, fruity overtones (esters?), presence of grassy and earthy hops, some toasty-roast (but lacking anything peaty), light vanilla, stronger oak, and firm bourbon. Mouthfeel was full and airy. jmm635 (1009) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 10, 2008
On tap in Phoenixville. Poured a clear brown color with a small head. Aromas of bourbon and caramel. Flavor was way too sweet. Overpowering caramel flavor. I was dining with 3 other people and none of us could stomach more than a few sips. So sweet it should be classified as a dessert beer. hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2008
On tap at the Phoenixville location. Poured a medium brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of wood, earthy, bourbon, peaty, light smoke, toasted/burnt caramel, and nutty. Tastes of bourbon, lighter wood, vanilla, chocolate, and caramel. Softer body.
