UPDATED: SEP 11, 2015 Color is a deep reddish-yellow, clear, white lace. Hops, citrus, spice, yeast and wheat aroma. Flavor is burnt hop dominant, oak, malt, resin and spice flavor. There?s a good bitterness profile balanced with vibe of a log cabin muskiness, some grass and I detect a bit of heat possibly peppery? reggiedunlop (3717) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 4, 2012
Pours a clear ruby with a medium tan head...creamy...nice lacing and retention. Aroma is mildly fruity with come fresh, floral hops and sweet maltiness. Flavor is doughy with fruity hops notes and yeastiness...sticky...nice bitterness and balance. mouthfeel is medium and the finish is fruity/hoppy and a bit dry. Tasty! kbutler1 (1381) - North Carolina, USA - NOV 8, 2010
Growler. Pours a slightly hazed orange amber color with a minimal off white head. Fruity type aroma with nice notes of dried apricot and peach. Semi sweet start transitions to a nice hop bitternes. Medium mouthfeel. Really drinkable. Fruity and citrus rind dominate this one but overall a nice drinking beer. JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 26, 2009
Lighter golden color with a big, sweet aroma of orange and some hops. Classic tripel all the way plus hops, summer fruit and spice. Good, but IH has put out so many beers like this lately that it gets lost in the crowd. User37895 (3042) - - JUL 12, 2009
Consumed while enjoying (as a non-participant) the Iron Hill Twilight Criterium cycling race / party. Didn’t even know what the style was when ordered, the name kinda got me. Poured a hazy yellow color, some faint amber aspects. The aroma was strong citrusey hops with yeast and Belgian malts. The flavor followed, bananas, esters, wheaty base, strong hops, light yeasty spicing. Mouthfeel was full and well-carbonated. A nice job, although the hop heads probably would want greater hop action to totally clash with the Belgian base beer underneath it all. Pooh to them, nice job IH!
