On tap at Iron Hill North Wales. Cloudy brown, nice tan head. Clove in the nose, subdued and subtle, with some malt. Flavor is abrupt on first sip and not expected. Not smooth. Hops quite prominent and tastes oxidized. Appearance and aroma showed promise but this failed in the flavor. Would not have again.
I really like the banana aroma. It draws u in but the taste is just a touch thin. The flavor peaks early & finishes slightly watery. It pours brown with a thin white head. Still a good beer but a stronger finish would make this great. reggiedunlop (3717) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 18, 2013
Pours a murky amber/ruby with a medium white head. Aroma has fruity note...banana...and clove....some bubblegum. Flavor follows suit...not overkill on the banana...nice amount of spice. Mouthfeel is medium/full and silky with a finish that reminds me of Juicyfruit chewing gum a bit. ryanscourt (1456) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 25, 2013
Dark brown roasted and sweet aroma. Enjoyed with schnitzel and buttered noodles. First try at this style. Very good. Enjoyed the muted sharpness of the hefewiezen spiciness by the malts. Wish this style was more accessible. Banana and cloves are still easily recognized but the caramel sweetness balances it out. Became more sweet as i drank it, sometimes too sweet, Travlr (24277) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Draft at Maple Shade. Murky variegated brownish amber color, medium tan head. Aroma of lightly spiced brown bread, banana. Taste is banana and clove bubblegum. Decent. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - SEP 3, 2011
Draft at Lancaster location. Served in tall weizen glass. Dark amber to light brown color, heavy carbonation, nice head. Good balanced beer and a nice dunkel. Did not disappoint. RedSox2004 (1867) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - AUG 16, 2011
Hazy muddy brown with a minimal head and modest lace. Aromas of bananas and clove stand out from the caramel base. Solid crystal and caramel malts drive the flavor profile, that includes ample clove spiciness and yeast and subtle banana notes. Medium body, minimal carbonation, and a sweetnish finish. cloudy brown but light at the edges, thin cream head. Aroma is banana, clove, malt. Medium bodied. Flavor is mildly sweet with nice crisp German graininess and a restrained yeast spice. yum. A good example of the style. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - MAY 17, 2011
On tap at Iron Hill Newark. Pours a deep, dark caramel brown color with a one finger frothy white head that quickly dissipates into a lasting ring. Aroma of bananas and clove with some bittersweet chocolate and toffee with a slight bit of roast and bready yeast. The flavor is roasted malt with bitter chocolate and a spicy cloves that come through strong, along with some toffee and bready yeast to round out the flavors on the back end. Medium light body and moderate carbonation.

Tap at Iron Hill Maple Shade. By far the worst of the beers I tried. Slight banana flavors with more cardboard and a little butter. Lacks any sweetness. Just not something enjoyable for me, unfortunately, as I liked most of their other beers.
