COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A truly full-bodied beer. Fe-10 is rich, malty and very complex. Dark in color, this beer uses Belgian Abbey yeast, dark candi sugar and a huge assortment of specialty malts, providing layers of complex fruity aromas and flavors, with a warming alcohol finish.

On tap at the North Wales location. Pours a dark brown with some amber when held to the light. Head was average size, off white in color. Aroma was very roasty, dark fruits, light alcohol, molasses. Flavor was also very roasty, hints of chocolate, sweet and very dry. Not exactly what I was expecting. Less fruity and more roasty than I have come to expect from the style they were going for.

At the 07 RBSG grand tasting. Fizzy brown head over a brown beer. Nose of corriader and cat box. Sweet grains, ripe plum, raisen toast and juicey friut sweetness. It bloomed as it warmed. Interesting beer, but I wouldn’t call it a quad.

Poured a clear deep chestnut color with an off-white head. Sweet estery aroma with light choclate and a hint of smoke. A touch of alcohol fumes in the end. Sweet yeasty esters with some cocoa on the finish. Long estery finish. Medium bodied. Very nice.

#24 [Blind tasting @ Papsoe] large thick beige bubbly head that mostly lasted. Excellent lacework. Dark mahogany colour. My first impression is that of a very sweet Quardruple. Dried fruit, herbal, caramel. Over the palate hint of brown sugar, star aniseed and some bread. . Full bodied with soft carbonation and alcoholic texture. Heavy sweet flavour with light floral bitter feel. Sweet sugary herbal lingering finish. 3 / 6 / 7 / 3 / 14 = 3.3

Bottle from axilla. Pours dark copper with a fast fading head and a small ring of lace. Nose is bubblegum, banana, plums, sugary malts, and alcohol. Flavor has more banana, dark fruits, roasted malt, candied malts, and alcohol. Warm, slightly hot finish as is commercially described.

LilBeerDoctor (4032) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2009
Bottle from the Wilmington brewpub. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of sweet candi sugar, soda, dark fruits. Flavor of roasted malts, toffee, soda, lots of malt, and yeast. Thick mouthfeel. Decent quad, but I think I would have liked this fresher. 7/4/7/4/15 (3.7/5)

alobar (3862) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 19, 2010
Pours a deep brown/black color with a tan head. Aroma of vanilla, yeast, and fruit. Flavor is vanilla and fruit dominant with some alcohol and yeast. Easily, one of the best I’ve had in some time.

maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 28, 2007
RBSG 2007 Grand Tasting. Cloudy brown body with a frothy light brown head. Sweet spiced aroma. Sweet molassas and caramel flavor with some spice in the background.

reggiedunlop (3725) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 21, 2014
Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma has soft dark fruits of fig and plum with a bit of roastiness And faint leather. The flavor has similar fruity notes up front before roasty malts give way to notes of cocoa and mild earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry, earthy/leathery finish. Tasty!
