Taste courtesy SoLan. Pours a muddy brown with a thin tan head. Malty caramel sweet and candy sugar aroma. Sweet malty taste, lots of candy sugar, with citrusy hops and just a hint of apple. Very good big beer, yet dangerously drinkable. PilsnerPeter (3046) - Flushing, New York, USA - JUN 22, 2008
Bottle: Pours a murky amber brown. Aroma has some maple, toffee, brown sugar and mild dark fruits. Flavor is sweet with brown sugar, maple, without much dark fruit character. Has some nice roasted Belgian malts into the finish. Pretty nice, as far as US Quads go (which I tend to rate harshly). User37895 (3042) - - NOV 13, 2006
Poured a deep brown color with a very nice fluffy white to slight off-white head. Lacing was less than expected given the head. The aroma was caramel and some spices, fruity, somewhat like a Christmas-time Belgian Ale. The flavor followed suit, some brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon, other spices, some light roast (v. faint touch of peat). Mouthfeel was smooth, finished with a touch of bitterness (hops or spices?), maybe a touch acidic. Not bad, not excellent, decent. BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUL 11, 2009
Bottle acquired via trade with JAXSON...thanks Jeremy!!! Cork opened with a pop and flew across the room. Mahogany pour with a massive eggshell head with amazing retention and lacing. Cotton candy, dark fruit, belgian yeast, and tart cherry skin on the nose. Flavor is quite sweet with caramel, candied sugar, and raisin most dominant with the alcohol showing as well. Medium mouthfeel. JohnC (3008) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - JAN 18, 2009

Medium sized beige head, decent retention and lace. Hazy brown, ruby hued color. Nose is spicey at first leading to some caramelly, chocolatey, fruity aromas as well as some berry notes. Med/full body, palate coating with a soft carbonation. Medium sweet malts up front, chocolate, caramel, some brown sugar notes with a hint of plums and raisins, sorta grainy as well. Finish is lightly sweet malty and spicey, some licorice notes as well. Bottle supplied by Robert @statelineliquors Thanks dude!! 750ml bottle, thanks to Swolf3. Poured very dark, murky brown, very little head. Smells fantastic. Almost like a barleywine, very rich and flavorful. Very good beer. Thanks Steven. Storm (2684) - Amager, DENMARK - MAR 10, 2008
Blind tasting at Papsoe. Dark reddish brown colour with a huge white head. Aroma of spices, yeast and hints of chocolate. Flavour of malt, caramel and hints of yeast and very much alcohol, ends up little sour and quite sweet.
