Bottle acquired via trade with JAXSON...thanks Jeremy!!! Cork opened with a pop and flew across the room. Mahogany pour with a massive eggshell head with amazing retention and lacing. Cotton candy, dark fruit, belgian yeast, and tart cherry skin on the nose. Flavor is quite sweet with caramel, candied sugar, and raisin most dominant with the alcohol showing as well. Medium mouthfeel. TomDecapolis (4636) - Milton, Delaware, USA - NOV 14, 2006
On tap at the North Wales location. Pours a dark brown with some amber when held to the light. Head was average size, off white in color. Aroma was very roasty, dark fruits, light alcohol, molasses. Flavor was also very roasty, hints of chocolate, sweet and very dry. Not exactly what I was expecting. Less fruity and more roasty than I have come to expect from the style they were going for. North wales. Dark reddish brown color with light head. Strong roasted sweet malts and dark fruit aroma. Big bite in it - can definately taste the alcohol. Sweet cherry, chocolate, and some medicine taste. Overall not too bad, but I expected better.

(750ml Bottle) Pours a dark amber body with a medium beige head. Aroma of sugary raisins, maple syrup, faint chocolate, and toasted bread. Flavor of raisins, caramel, light cherry, and roasted malt with a dry finish. JoeMcPhee (10131) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 29, 2008
Deep orange/brown beer. The aroma is lightly molassessy with orange peel, toast, roasted raisins, rum and sweet brown sugar. A bit of caramel with with a sort of cleanness that I think typifies better examples of this style. Toasty flavour with a light pruney plumminess. Fruity and rich finish. Rich light and fruity with a soft sweetness. I think they’ve got the malt profile down pretty well, but they need a more interesting yeast for this one.
