Big thanks to FooFaa aka Dan for bringing this one to our IPA day celebration. It isn’t an IPA but I didn’t hear anyone complaining.

A - Pours fairly still with a small film of white head leaving little to no lace at all down the glass.
S - Smells of sweet raspberry puree, lots of vinegar, light sourness, dry oak tannins, and some wet leather.
T - Starts off with some sweet raspberries quickly giving way to a mix of strong vinegar sourness, wet leather, and dry oak tannins. It almost tastes like the flavors never really came together. The finish is a mix of light sweetness and strong tartness, lingering for some time.
M - Medium body and flavor with moderately low carbonation. Pretty sure this one is flat with a sweet, tart, feel none the less.
O - This one was ok. It smelled pretty good but the taste was a bit of a letdown. I still want to try the other verities of this one, I just hop they are a little better.
Thick, sludgy, murky brew. Nose of stale raspberries, touch tart. Full bodied, seriously chewy, literally chunks to chew on. Fairy tart and fruity berrie flavors, musty, stale and dying. Lumpy acidic finish. Thanks Brian! What a wonderful expierence! Whoa. lb4lb (2608) - Austin, Texas, USA - SEP 10, 2013
Horrendous. Sour musty bandaids. Couldnt even take a real sip. Just a funky rotten mess. 50belair (3661) - Florida, USA - JUN 17, 2013
Bottle. Sour cherry aromas with some off notes. The taste follows suit. Bad mouthfeel. This is a big miss.

Tasted in 2010 (backlog). Amber in color with bright ruby highlights and a thin white head. Aroma is tart, raspberries, pastry dough, light funk and oak. Taste is sour with raspberries and an oaky finish. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - JAN 31, 2013
I believe this was a pour from a bottle at the Iron Hill Belgium Comes to West Chester event. Hard to be sure given the pour methods.
Pours a super muddy brownish color with some red highlights. Both the sample glass and full tulip were like this, so I don’t think it was a bottom of the bottle dregs issue. No real head or lacing. Quite ugly.
The nose carries a good dose of raspberries as well as underlying earth. Moderate acidity. Flavor has moderate raspberry character. No underlying funk or anything other than acidity. Touch of breadiness. Body is medium and overall too heavy and chewy. Acidity is fairly strong.
I’m not sure what happened to the appearance or feel on this one, but it was quite odd. Otherwise, raspberry was nice but there wasn’t any real depth to the beer.

Bottle at a ChrisO tasting, London - many thanks to Bill. Pours cloudy, red-gold with a fine, white cream head. Fresh, lightly tart raspberry aroma. Great flavor, lots of vinegar and tangy raspberries, big sourness overall. Light bodied with crisp carbonation. Big tart finish, good raspberry character, bracing tang, very moderate sugars and general sweetness. Solid stuff through and through. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 29, 2012
[4724-20120818] Bottle. Fresh toasted cherry malt aroma. Hazy, red body with a very quick foamy off-white head. Tart cherries flavour follows with a swift sour kick in the teeth. Sour tart medium body. Delicious and fruity and sour. (9/3/10/4/18) 4.4

In short: A bright and very sharp funky tart raspberry attack. Excellent.
How: Bottle 750ml shared at Camping Brewdown 2012.
The look: Cloudy rusty-red body topped by a very small beige head.
In long: Nose is intensely raspberry, very bright and sharp with some funky notes. Taste is equally intense but somehow not too aggressive. Plenty of tart raspberries, crisp crackery malts, medium acidity, mild funky farmhouse character. Tartness and acidity make for a very low sweetness sensation. The beer is intense yet refreshing and relatively easy to drink. Either there are huge variations between bottles or this beer is seriously underrated, the bottle we shared was truly excellent. One of the best beer I had at Camping Brewdown 2012, and no matter how bad my hangovers were in the mornings, I consoled myself thiniking that someone out there had to clean the camping bathroom after I left.
