Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a orange to amber sort of color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Nice looking rings of lace slid down the glass.
The aroma had some citrusy smooth sweetness with a subtle honey sweetness.
The flavor was mostly the same as the aroma. Aftertaste and finish were the same with a slight stickiness.
The feel was almost medium bodied, seemed just a touch under with a decent carbonation about it. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty good AIPA that I could have again.

Served on-tap at Iron Hill Lancaster.

A – Pours amber orange with a nice one finger tall white head leaving light rings of lacing down the glass.

S – Smells of sweet honey, citric hops, dulled citric fruits, and some light booze. The hops are beginning to fade a bit and the honey sweetness is taking over it.

T - Fairly similar to the nose. A mix of honey sweetness and dulled citric hops up front never really giving way throughout. There is still a hint of the bright citric fruits that once called this beer home but they are fading quickly. Finish is a mix of sweetness and hop bitterness. Not as good as it was fresh but still very good.

M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Sticky sweet feel with plenty of it lingering thru the finish.

O - This one was pretty good. It tasted a bit old but it still had plenty of life in it. The hops blended well with the honey sweetness to form a well balanced beer. Good stuff for sure.

Draft at Phoenixville for IPA day. Golden/straw colored pour with off-white head. Nose was honeydew, grapefruit, malt, flora.s Tastes of heavy citrus, including honeydew, pineapple, grapefruit, some black peppery and late floral notes, with mild honey flavor.

On tap at the NW location (IPA fest). Poured a golden color with a small sized head. Citrus, some floral hops and some caramel in the tastes (or was that the honey). Really did not get much honey (for me, not a bad thing though).

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity hoppy grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty hoppy piney grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit finish.

On tap at Lancaster. Translucent orange with a thin white ring, heavy lacing. Nose is rather empty, dank earth, tepid citrus and sugar. Sweet orangish flavor, bit of grain in finish, light sweetness.

Lubiere (14196) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 28, 2011
A lightly hazed golden amber DIPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, a superb citrusy hops, watermelon and pink grapefruits, some cotton candy and honey cloves. In mouth, an intense hop sting, meaty malt, menthol, lingering bitterness and waxy honey. A superb DIPA. On tap at Lancaster location, April 8th, 2011.

Miver (615) - Silver Spring, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 4, 2009
on tap in Lancaster from a mug. Had a nice off white head that left nice lacing on the inside of the mug. Aroma mostly of citrus hops. Tastes of grapefruit, light piney hops. Dry and crisp mouthfeel. I don’t get much honey from it, so I’m guessing it all got consumed by the yeast early in fermentation. A pretty good IPA

On tap @ Lancaster. Brilliantly clear amber with a thin head. Lots of citrus on the nose: grapefruit, tangerine, and a bit of pineapple. Bursting with hop flavor, very citrusy, but a bit lacking in bitterness. I couldn’t taste any of the honey that was mentioned on the beer menu. Medium body with a balanced finish. A very solid, but not mind-blowing, IPA.
