pretty awesome stuff on all counts. the intensity is similar to the Smuttynose IPA with the citrus and pine heading into an almost camphor like haze. the head was heavenly, hanging out like pancake batter. the nose suggests all that will be tasted. it roils in the mouth, almost chewy. the lacing stays splayed all the way down. beautiful. the best IHB brew i’ve had. glad it’s in my town! Draft @ Media. Clear amber color with a smallish white head. Aroma is a pleasant grassy-pine hops with a tinge of citrus fruit to sweeten up the nose. Taste is nice and hoppy - balanced pretty well - with lots of grassy-pine hops and a bit orange and sugar. Well done IPA that I hope to see more of from Iron Hill. Another great PA IPA. Draft at the West Chester location. Slight turbid dark straw pour, with aroma of hopcit and fruit. Tastes fruity, with initial citrusy hops and a smooth, fruity finish. Nice balance and complexity. dirtymike (2016) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 29, 2005

Media, PA... Poured a deep copper color with a small off white head, and nice lacing. Perfumey, piney, citrusy, grapefruit, hop aroma. Taste of bitter hops, citrus fruits, and sweet malts. Slightly oily mouthfeel.

Clear, nicely golden and heady. Rich, chalky malts with a tasty chocolatiness. Healthy hop profile (citrus, pine) with a nice bitterness level. Perfect sweet-bitter thing going on. Snappy and tasty. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - MAY 12, 2006
on tap-pours an offwhite head with copper color. Aroma is bold, sweet hops. Taste is bold, sweet hops, a good bite. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAR 24, 2007
On tap at the Media location billed as 8%. Pours a translucent golden orange with an average off white lacing head. Aroma was up front orange, floral, caramel malt, pine, grapefruit...hops galore. Flavor of orange, grapefruit bitterness, loads of hop flavor, some caramel and a bunch of hop bitterness. One of the more hop forward IPA’s I have had...and I have had a lot of hoppy IPA’s. adrian910ss (2572) - Doylestown, PA, USA - APR 13, 2011
On draft in Media. Pours a clear orange vistalite color with a medium sized frosty white head. Aroma of fresh hops, light buttery notes, caramel malt and grapefruit. Taste is much the same as the aroma. PWalk (337) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 11, 2004
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2004 If you enjoy a hoppy beer then here it is. I had it off the tap at Iron HIll’s Media pub on 9/10/04. Copper in the glass producing a thin white head. It reeks of a hop aroma with hints of citrus throughout. Verry nice on the palate with a good amount of what I would call "hop bite". Excellent IPA.
