From a firkin at Memphis Taproom. Pours clean copper with a thick tan head. Big piney nose, some hints of citrus, grapefruit, grass. Taste is more mild than nose – sweet caramel malts, pine, hint of citrus. Dry and bitter finish. adrian910ss (2590) - Doylestown, PA, USA - APR 13, 2011
On draft in Media. Pours a clear orange vistalite color with a medium sized frosty white head. Aroma of fresh hops, light buttery notes, caramel malt and grapefruit. Taste is much the same as the aroma. Goodgrief (2056) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - DEC 23, 2010
On tap at Media location. Pale golden color, good lacing. This one is a syrupy grapefruit bomb. Hugely sweet and hugely bitter. It’s a bit cloying, however, and a bit one dimensional. This has been done to death.

On draft at Iron Hill - Media. Poured hazy copper with some off-white lacing. Flavor completely dominated by piney, resinous hops. Extremely bitter on the palate throughout but smoothed towards the end of the glass. Nice malt balance. Was told this was a IIPA by the bartender. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 17, 2009

Very hoppy and fruity aroma. Golden coloured very hoppy and fruity citrus flavour with a crisp and bitter lasting finish. mempath (15) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 7, 2009
pretty awesome stuff on all counts. the intensity is similar to the Smuttynose IPA with the citrus and pine heading into an almost camphor like haze. the head was heavenly, hanging out like pancake batter. the nose suggests all that will be tasted. it roils in the mouth, almost chewy. the lacing stays splayed all the way down. beautiful. the best IHB brew i’ve had. glad it’s in my town! goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - OCT 28, 2007
GABF 2007: Poured a hazy copper color with an off-white head. The hops came quick in the aroma. First was a sweaty smelling hop then came floral and spicey ones. The flavor was mlaty with some big hops mixed in. Sweaty and piney from front to back. Moderate bitterness. Semi-dry finish with a medium body.
