Aroma of malt, hop, pine and spice. A bit sprucy. Pretty severely bitter. Lots of piney hop, spice. Resiny. Maybe some fruit comes in the finish but it’s over powered by bite. Good stuff. Jesterdeal (1985) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - SEP 5, 2014
IPA day. Aroma is nice pine and sticky peach. Pours amber with very little lacing. Taste is pine, resin, and nectarine. Delicious and appropriately light. Good use more of these. Strife21 (338) - North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2014
Pours dark amber with thick white head. Smell has tons of pine, resin and hops. Taste is pine, resin, floral hops and spice from the pepper on the finish. Medium body, low carbonation (cask) JaBier (8178) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - JUN 4, 2013
Sample at the Pint Room on 4/27/13. Clear amber pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel and earthy hop. Malty and piney flavor with caramel character before a grassy hop finish. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Pours a clear light copper with a medium off white head...great lacing. Aroma has earthy/hoppy notes and plenty of maltiness...doughy with notes of dry leaves and nuttiness. Flavor has good earthy bitterness but still leans towards the balanced or malty side. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is earthy/bitter and dry...lingering bitterness.

(Draught) Pours a clear copper body with a moderate white head. Aroma of grass, orange, tangerine, florals, and caramel. Flavor of caramel, nuts, light citrus, some pine, and grass with a dry, bitter finish. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 9, 2011
In short: A typical citrusy/piney IPA with a big malted caramelized body. Good beerargo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 22, 2011
How: Tap at brewpub, West Chester location. Last stop of the RBSG 2011 bus-trip
The look: Clear dark golden body topped by a very small beige head
In long: The typical hoppy nose is cirtusy and piney but with also dank hops notes. Big malt backbone that I’d expect more in a Double IPA than a regular IPA. Lots of caramel on a slice of white bread. Plenty of citrusy and piney hops. Overall this was a well balanced, not a hop bomb, not a malt orgy, but a bit of both. Anyway, the last beer I rated during this crazy RBSG 2011 bus-trip. On our way back there was a guy so drunk in the bus that he kept falling off on people and yelled insanities. I would have normally find it funny but it was me.
Draft, RBSG bus tour. Small off-white head, crystal clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange, some floral. Taste is medium sweet, orange, some pine, bread. Medium body, some resin. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2011
This poured a medium orange color with a beige head. Aroma was a decent amount of lemony citrusy hops and light grass notes too. Lightly toasted malts are there too. Flavor was a good balance between three cs hops and toasted malt and light caramel malt. OK. jcwattsrugger (12512) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 16, 2011
