20101106 tap at Newark. Bright orange color with lasting khaki head. Aroma is spicy, savory, and lightly toasty with some caramel maltiness. Ample eff for such a big beer goes a long way toward drinkability. Finishes a bit hot, but appropriately so. Solid effort, but the insane strength seems uncalled for. This is truly the best pumpkin beer I’ve had. Very intense and rich aromas and flavors of pumpkin and spices. A true Belgian lovers delight. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - OCT 23, 2010

Sweet with pumpkin spice smelling. Orange color with reddish tint, not much for head. Spicey cinamon/nutmeg flavor; sweet with an alcohol kick. keepersj12 (3133) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - NOV 20, 2009
Good but not as good as the regular pumpkin. Very nice looking with a nice aroma of pumpkin pie spices. Clear amber with a small head. Flavor is pumpkin pie sweetness with a dry finish.

Guest tap at stewarts.. Poured into a pint glass. Dark red in color. Nose of some spices and some malt. Taste is a little dissapointing.. Strong maltiness with some spices and some hops. Lacking the "pumpkin" note. Kind of boring. Overall.... I was excited to see this brew at stewarts but kind of let down once I tasted it.... Flat-bodied, deep amber brew.Wonderful pumpkin pie aroma, full of allspice, cinnamon, and jabs of ginger. Great synergy of pumpkin, ginger, allspice, and hints of clove creates a well-rounded flavor. Top-notch pumpkin beer. Alcohol is well masked yet accentuates the spices. Quaffable and complex. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUN 14, 2009
Growler sampled on 10/25/08 thanks to MrBendo: Pours a hazy copper bronze with a thin, spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet toasty caramel toffee and pumpkin spice. Body starts with good fullness and light pumpkin flavor with lots of sweet caramel malt. Well balanced with good complexity. A nice pumpkin beer. Thanks to MrBendo for the growler share at Kramer tasting. Pours a hazy deep amber with a thinning head. Aroma is instantly ginger snap cookies, with lots of cinnamon spices, clove and nutmeg seems on the low side for a pumpkin ale- ok sweet caramel as well. Toasted malts, caramel sharp crystal spice becomes well rounded in the flavor with more cinnamon and a less pronounced ginger character- all spice and clove in the end and an ok earthy piny bitterness.
