Cask poured a hazy golden color with a small creamy white head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma initially was plastic and play doh, very strange. Finally after a few sniffs, I was getting some melon and tropical fruits. A nice light balance of hops and malts, but overall nothing spectactular. hopdog (12486) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 3, 2004
UPDATED: APR 25, 2006 Poured a medium amber in color with a smaller sized, frothy, off white head. Hoppy aroma (floral). Light malty tastes (caramel) with some fruitiness. Has a nice hoppy bitter finish. DocLock (10660) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 29, 2004
Dark amber to light orangish in color, this beer is very hoppy, producing copious Brussels lace as it is consumed. It goes down super smooth, with nice maltiness. Hopheads will love this one. r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2004
A strong copper color. Hoppy aroma. Hoppy taste, too. A nice and strong bodied APA. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 4, 2004

One of Iron Hill's better offerings. Fresh Cascade nose, nice slightly hazy pale amber color, frothy sticky head. Quiet toasted malt base with a substantial hop whallop towards the end. Blend of hops is pretty good. Very American. Could be heavy, but very good. BrianO (138) - Ambler, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2003
Excellent easy-drinking APA with subtle hop aroma and nice malt/hop flavor. Good crisp bitterness with a hint of spices. One of Iron Hill's best beers. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 12, 2003
Clear amber with off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit, some pine. Taste is grapefruit with medium-intensity bitterness. Medium body. Not bad, but it's a run-of-the-mill american hop beer, no better than you'd find in some homebrew kits. jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - AUG 1, 2003
A very good APA. Good balance of hops and malt. Excellent hop complexity in the aroma and on the palate. Good crisp mouth-feel and finish. I like it! Braudog (6678) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - APR 8, 2003
At the Newark, Delaware location: Same dark color as the Anvil Ale ... More of a smoky hop aroma. Tastes nuttier, more malt and not as bitter. Tart edge, but no citrus. Good.
