Listed as a white IPA on the menu. Described as..."A medium bodied, firmly hopped American IPA fermented with Belgian Witbier yeast and finished with coriander and orange peel." Was slightly hazy golden color. Nice hoppy smell. Liked this one a lot. Coriander and orange beel are evident but balanced nicely with good citrus hops. Finished nicely with lingering bitterness and yeast. Neat style, went back and forth whether I thought it was more a belgian white or an IPA, however the spiciness of the gumbo i had with it really brought out the hops.
Tap at Maple Shade. Pours a well carbonated cloudy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is of spices, orange peel, and a solid dose of grassy/citrusy hops. Taste is well balanced, spice, orange zest, light grainy notes are all complimented by a nice punch of hops throughout. If all "wit" beers tasted like this I’d like the style a lot more dmac (6591) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Growler thanks to pineypower for picking it up for me. Poured a cloudy orange/gold body with a creamy white head that left gobs of lace all over my DFH goblet. Aroma was light corridander that interacted with the malts in a way that it left an impression of a waxy vanilla candy wrapper, slight over ripe banana from the Belgian yeast and citrus (mostly oranges) in the background from the hops and well I guess the citrus fruits as well. Body was nice for a week old growler with average carbonation and a medium body that leaves a long aftertaste and a sticky mouthfeel. Flavor is bitter at first witha burst of citrus rind, yeast, dry toast, tea, banana peel. Good stuff. closey22 (2126) - Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, USA - JAN 14, 2013
Very cloudy orange yellow (grapefruit juice)with thin white head; aroma is yeasty rubber bandanna ish; thick meaty feel (bananna juice); Flava is hard to nail down, mix of grain, slight citrus tang, hint of bananna, & hops; finishes long and very dry bitter; definitely unique beer. Worth a try! Travlr (26431) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 12, 2013
OK, I really didn’t get the name until I got back to my hotel and entered the beer. Oh well, it’s been a long day. Draft at the source. Murky golden yellow color, thick white edge head, solid lacing. Aroma of tropical fruit and lemon peel. Taste is heavy citrus and light spice. Not bad.
