COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A truly full-bodied beer, quadrupel is rich, malty and very complex. Deep brown in color, this beer uses Belgian abbey yeast, dark candy sugar and a huge assortment of specialty malts, oak aged with cherries providing layers of complex fruity aromas and flavors with a warming alcohol finish.

High Wycombe House Warming. Hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Comparatively light palate, semi dry and with decent fine carbonation. Smooth and sweetish malts. Fluffy cherry, tangy. Oaky sweetness into full vanilla. Airy finish. Hides the abv well but was expecting much more complexity.

Bottle shared in High Wycombe - thanks to Jkenny. Pours unclear copper with a slim topping. The tangy berries in the nose, wood, cherry, earth. Medium sweet flavour with moderate acidity, some orange peel, some bread, leaves, citrus, lemon. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with some acidic bite, more tangy berries, alcohol warmth. Good novelty.

Bottle at The High WyCum tasting, Chez Bois, thanks to Kenny Kenny 05/11/16. Murky cherry red with a decent enough beige covering. Nose is tarte cherry skins, straw, earthy, funk tones, pissy red berry. Taste comprises light cherry skins, wood must, tangy red berry, funk, light pissoi. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light booze lick. Ok but lacks depth for the ABV.

Bottle at RBSG. Pours red. Nose and taste of cherry, oak, fruity esters, yeast, light candi sugar, sweet malts and some light funk. Mild tartness. Some very minor medicinal notes at times. Medium body.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours hazy rich red with a tiny head. The aroma is rich, juicy, cherry, jammy, vanilla, Bakewell tart, tangy and candy. The taste is rich, juicy, tangy, stewed cherry, boozy, kirsch, booze, jammy berry and Bakewell tart with a dry finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Fruity and boosty. Fun to sip on.

750 mL bottle shared by MrChopin at the 5/7/11 DC Ratebeer gathering. Pours a clear brownish red color with a thin white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of tart cherries, leafy vegetal notes and a dark malty finish. There taste is tart cherries, chocolate and a malty finish. Faint wood. Not too complex but very nice.

Aroma is sour boozy, bourbon, tangy, tangy red berries, . Flavour is composed of boozy woody, fruit cake. Boozy, . Boozy. Plate is medium sweet and sour, highish carbonation, tangy sour, little oak.
