On nitro at the North Wales location. Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, and some oatmeal. Reminded me of a chocolate covered malted milk ball. Tastes of chocolate, oatmeal, and roast. On the roasty side. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Thinner body. Increasing the overall numbers some.
Draft, from P-vllle. This one pours hazy dark brown with aroma of oaty molasses, chocoff, and roasty malt. The flavor is oaty, on the sweet side, rich, with chocoff and oats. This one is very good, and IMHO underrated by about 0.5-0.7. egajdzis (6777) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2006

Cask pour @ brewpub. Color is dark brown with thin tan head; minimal lacing. Sweet aroma with coffee and chocolate notes. Initial flavor is semi-sweet, but levels out with dry coffee and chocolate notes. Very nice beer and easy to drink.

Tap in Maple Shade. Ruby edges on pitch pour with clingy tan head. Nose is beautifully roasty, heavy coffee there but it’s a city roast, gentle background fruit with tar and ash. Taste is abundantly fruity, quite sweet, silky light-medium body, light oatmeal in with the roastiness. Excellent Sweet Stout. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 22, 2010
