Nitro at Iron Hill Newark. Pours out black with a moderate creamy off white head. Aromas of light chocolate, slight roast and a little sweetness. Velvet-like smooth mouthfeel. Taste is roasted malts, light chocolate and some hints of oat sweetness. Rather well balanced and pretty solid. User37895 (3042) - - DEC 19, 2007
On draft at the Newark location. The pour was one of those wonderful stout experiences, bubbles separating out as a separate phase, slowly, delayed, very nice. Very generous tan to chocolate colored initial head that was very persistent, sat there looking pretty. The aroma was dark fruits, chocolate, some light roast. The flavor was chocolate, dark vinous fruits, some roast, and oatmeal aspects, although this was more overdone on the dark fruit/vinous side of things than I like my oatmeal stouts to be. Thick, a little syrupy, but kept honest by the oatmeal presence, I presume. pivo (2685) - GERMANY - JAN 2, 2004
Light nose, dark dark brown color, creamy nitro head. Full rich roaste malt with dry coffee bitter end. Good transitions and an OK balance, but not so special. (On tap, Wilmington) willblake (2654) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JAN 31, 2010
20100104 Nitro tap at Newark. Aroma is pleasant but so mild. Flavor is woodsy, dirty. Simple dark roastiness. As it warms becomes a bit boozy, rummy even. Solid stout. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 4, 2004
On tap at brewery in Delaware. Nice creamy head on the black brew. Light chocolate nose. Weak malt taste, fast diminishing, slightly malty finish.

Aroma of roast dark coffee and slight dark fruits. Pours black with a chunky blonde head. Tasted super roasty with coffee, malt and a slight brackish iron taste. Solid stout. stegosaurus (1882) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 1, 2007
North Wales location. On Nitro. Pours murky dark brown with a creamy head. Aroma of roast, coffee, and chocolate. The flavor is prodominately roast and coffee, with some traces of choclate, and a very mild hoppy presence. Nice thick body, lacks any punch or bite. Good brew. jason (1834) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 28, 2007
Nitro at NorthWales. Dark black body with a big creamy head. Aroma was oatmeal and roasted malt, with the oatmeal standing out. Flavor was good with a medium body feel and slight bitter taste. Very smooth and enjoyable. keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - MAY 5, 2013

Appearance: Pitch black body, dense tan head.
Aroma: Dark chocolate and roasted malts.
Taste: Lots of chocolate and a solid roasted malt backing.
Palate: Creamy bodied, soft carbonation.
Overall: This is an excellent oatmeal stout. If this were bottled I would buy it often.
