Light nose, dark dark brown color, creamy nitro head. Full rich roaste malt with dry coffee bitter end. Good transitions and an OK balance, but not so special. (On tap, Wilmington) TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - JAN 26, 2007
On tap at the North Wales location. Served on nitro. Pours a deep brown/black with hints of amber when held to the light. Very creamy Latte looking off white lacing head that sustained. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malts, lactose and vanilla. Flavor of milk chocolate, cappucino, oatmeal, slight roasty hints. A bit on the thin side and very milky/creamy. hopdog (12673) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 3, 2004

On nitro at the North Wales location. Poured a dark brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, and some oatmeal. Reminded me of a chocolate covered malted milk ball. Tastes of chocolate, oatmeal, and roast. On the roasty side. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Thinner body. Increasing the overall numbers some.
Firkin at Real Ale. Pours a blackish with some tan head and lace. Sweet chocolate, some roasted malt. Creamy, full mouthfeel. desurfer (1302) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - DEC 16, 2005
Nitro, Wilmington. Opaque black with a big, creamy tan head. Nitrogen pretty much killed the aroma except for some faint chocolatiness. Flavor is quite nice, with a ton of roasted malts and a distinct oaty character. Mouthfeel is full for a nitro’ed beer. Pretty good.

Cask version from the brewpub (Voorhees). Pours a thin clear dark brown color with almost no head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is boozy, with notes of roasted malt, caramel, and an earthy hop bitterness. YogiBeera (2569) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 4, 2004
On tap at brewery in Delaware. Nice creamy head on the black brew. Light chocolate nose. Weak malt taste, fast diminishing, slightly malty finish. egajdzis (6626) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 7, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2006 Poured a dark brown, opaque color with a medium sized, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast, vanilla, cocoa, and lactose. Taste of roasted oats, some chocolate, smoke, finishing lighly sour. Water, and thin, but fairly creamy mouthfeel. vlan1 (219) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 15, 2013
Draft @ Iron Hill Wilmington.
Pours a dark black with light colored thick and silky head. Typical for a oatmeal stout. Tastes of lightly roasted oats without any noticeable hop presence. Smooth and slightly silky mouthfeel. Overall a drinkable brew, but very forgettable. cazort (565) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2009
Creamy, very smooth, thick. Nice aroma, but way too sweet, almost syrupy. With less sugar this would be a truly awesome beer, but it doesn’t do much for me as-is.
