On tap at Wilmington brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with a one finger of frothy off white head wich leaves some lacing. The aroma is sweet bready malts with spicy hops. The taste is intially sweet, with a big breadiness that is balanced with some spicy drying bitterness, which gives this a very smooth finish. The mouthfeel is medium and crisp, with moderate carbonation. Beerdedone (3452) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 8, 2010

Growler courtesy of my friend J, filled at the Lancaster, PA location. Pours a clear golden brown with a moderate tan head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left ample spotty lace. Pleasant aroma of malt with just a hint of roast/smokiness to it. The flavor is malt with just a bit of roast, toasted bread, with just a hint of brown sugar sweetness. Mild bitterness at the end finishes this beer off nicely. Medium bodied. I could drink this Märzen all day, very nice. willblake (2664) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - SEP 26, 2010
20100926 tap at Wilmington. Darker appearance for a marzen with creamy, sticky beige head. Soft pretzel and raisin aroma with a mild leafiness. A bit on the sweet side but plenty drinkable and hardly too sweet. Decently done, if only above average, but well above average for a brewpub Oktoberfest. On tap at West Chester location. Beautiful amber pour. Nice grassy hop nose with some nutty malt aromas. Taste is thin and a bit rough on the edges. Slightly oily but a full malt flavor combines with a moderate carbonation level. Very doughy and a decent session beer.

Draught at Phoenixville BrewPub (at 7.7%ABV): Aroma of malts, malty sweetness, slight maple syrup, and a hint of nuts. Poured amber in color with a large, rocky, creamy, tan head that lasted throughout. Very good lacing. Clear. Sparkling. Lightly sweet, slightly bitter, flavor. Tastes of malts, , earth, light nuts, and dried leaves. Medium body. Lightly dry, slightly syrupy texture. Average carbonation. Malt and dry leaf finish is lightly dry. 7.7%ABV is totally hidden. A nice Oktoberfest. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - OCT 12, 2009
