20100926 tap at Wilmington. Darker appearance for a marzen with creamy, sticky beige head. Soft pretzel and raisin aroma with a mild leafiness. A bit on the sweet side but plenty drinkable and hardly too sweet. Decently done, if only above average, but well above average for a brewpub Oktoberfest. On tap at Wilmington brewpub. Pours a clear copper color with a one finger of frothy off white head wich leaves some lacing. The aroma is sweet bready malts with spicy hops. The taste is intially sweet, with a big breadiness that is balanced with some spicy drying bitterness, which gives this a very smooth finish. The mouthfeel is medium and crisp, with moderate carbonation. reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 19, 2011

North Wales. Ultra-bright, deep golden body with a sudsy white head. Nutty, sweet malt aroma with mild toast and soft, fruity esters. Rich Vienna malt flavor with some good nutty and fruity depth. Woody/earthy hops in the finish with moderate bitterness. Moderately sweet, but not cloying. Very sessionable. One of the better Oktoberfests. Not dull and trite like some. dmac (6471) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - OCT 11, 2009

Growler pour, courtesy of Pedro, from West Chester. Pours a fairly clean amber with dense off-white head and seafoam lacing. Nose of bread, caramel, nut. Sweet up front with a dry finish with a little more bitterness than a typical for the style. Medium body.
