Pours a dark amber with a medium tan head...nice lacing. Aroma has some roastiness and nuttiness...bready as billed. Flavor follows suit and has nice earthy notes...faint spice and bitterness in the back end. Mouthfeel is lively and refreshing with a dry bitter/roasty finish. North Wales. Ultra-bright, deep golden body with a sudsy white head. Nutty, sweet malt aroma with mild toast and soft, fruity esters. Rich Vienna malt flavor with some good nutty and fruity depth. Woody/earthy hops in the finish with moderate bitterness. Moderately sweet, but not cloying. Very sessionable. One of the better Oktoberfests. Not dull and trite like some.

Draft at Maple Shade. Poured a clear orange/amber with a smaller quickly and totally disipating white head. Aroma had notes of grain, spice and nutts. Flavor was mostly amber malt with light spice, cereal and biscuit. Solid beer that is easily sessionable. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 2, 2013
Growler pour, courtesy of Pedro, from West Chester. Pours a fairly clean amber with dense off-white head and seafoam lacing. Nose of bread, caramel, nut. Sweet up front with a dry finish with a little more bitterness than a typical for the style. Medium body. joeyplush (648) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2009
On tap at Wilmington waterfront. Appearance is dark mahogany with a medium tan head. Aroma and taste are very solid - roasted malt, more robust than the average Oktoberfest. keepersj12 (3114) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - SEP 23, 2012
A nice version of the style. Malty with bread, caramel, some yeast. The flavor is the same, nicely balanced, and good with the Oktoberfest menu. pineypower (3295) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - SEP 30, 2012

Taste is much the same, clean caramel, grains, cereal, grass, bread, some honey and a light lingering bitterness on the finish.
