2008 Holiday Vintage Bottle Cork was stuck in this bad boy after being bought at Iron Hill .... Clear amber pour with a thin off white head ... aroma is malty and sugary and of toasted/chewy caramel malts and hints of dark fruit .... taste of chewy caramel, toasted malts and a overripe sugar fruity flavor ... smoth but light on flavor ..... body is almost flat and thin .... finish has a slight booze to it .... sadly this brew was not worth aging or the price paid
Media location. Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a murky brown color with a large foamy tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was malty with notes of fig, raisin, cherry and bread dough. The flavor was tart with cherry, raisin, toffee malt and bread dough. Long finish, Moderately full bodied. Solid. dmac (6272) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JAN 22, 2016
2012 Holiday vintage purchased 2 weeks ago. Poured a cloudy orangey-brown with an average foamy light beige head. Aroma is all malts, dry caramel, English toffee, raisin, dough, cardboard. Oxidation is almost overwhelming with warmth. Flavor is the same. Body is slick with bubbly carbonation. Meh not a fan. chinchill (5025) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 1, 2014
Old Ale vintage 2008
Lots of dark fruit, especially dates.
Head has great retention. Very smooth
Lingering pleasant aftertaste.
O: Excellent for style. tgncc (3132) - Bellmore, New York, USA - OCT 7, 2013
Via trade with Bmart. The aroma is brown sugar, bread, slight barnyard, earthy yeast. The appearance is deep, murky amber, quickly diminishing off-white head. The flavor is like the aroma, brown sugar, cola, bread. The finish is piney, citrusy, sweet. Medium in body, big carbonation. Nice. BillWyce (1086) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 30, 2013
From notes: 2008 holiday vintage, aged 4 yrs, purchased at Phoenixville location. Poured hazy amber with some orange mixed in, and a 1-finger bone-colored head. Sweet, fruity aroma mixed with some earthy yeast. Full body with a very slight thickness and a dry finish. Flavor of earthy yeast beneath mild sweet citrus, with some malt sweetness appearing as it warmed.

Slightly hazy amber with white head. Caramel malt sweet aroma. Sweetness carries through to flavor, fuller palate. Hops balance sweetness but are very subtle. HogTownHarry (6942) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - OCT 30, 2012
May 4, 2012 - with blankboy, garthicus, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel. 750ml corked & caged bottle c/o blankboy - Holiday Vintage 2007. Hazy/murky amber-gold with a smallish frothy head and nice legs too (4-). Love the aroma - sweet caramel malt, earthy with some muted floral hop bitterness, a bit woody and sour (8-). Taste follows, but thinned out, oxidized - was probably big and malty and spicy once, now it’s thin and a touch papery (6+). Slick, syrupy mouthfeel, still with a weak, slightly sour aftertaste. Interesting, but past its prime. blankboy (7699) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 31, 2012
My bottle [750ml] shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o Glouglouburp. 2007 vintage. Pours a murky amber-red with an average size semi-lasting bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, toffee, light hops, dark fruit and some light sugary sweetness. Flavour of caramel malt, a bit of spice, dark fruit and a touch of sweetness. Average bodied. Maybe a touch past it’s due but still very good. garthicus (2929) - Dublin, IRELAND - MAY 4, 2012
