On tap at West Chester location. Straw yellow pour, cloudy with smallish head. Grainy and sweet with a moderate bitterness. If any fault, it was a tad sweet. But you can really taste the rye, which is a plus. Worth a try. Dfonorow (2216) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 13, 2011
Pours amber yellow with a good amount of carbonation and a good sized white head. Aroma is very hoppy with earthy and grassy notes throughout. Flavor is actually pretty well balanced with a lot of citrus and a dry bread/rye finish. Light to medium bodied. alobar (3800) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 10, 2010
Pours a clear amber color with soapy white head. Exceptional lacing. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, and hops. Bitter hop ending with grapefruit and pine up front. Nicely done if you are a hops fan. User37895 (3042) - - MAR 13, 2010
Looks like a travelled growler dropped the ratings on this one. In any event, on draft at the Lancaster location. Pour was beautiful amber hazy in color, generous white colored head, foamy, great lacing. The aroma was sharp piney hops, some earthy character, grainy. The flavor followed, strong bitter pine hop presence, some floral, citrus, and earthy character underneath. Dry but full malty finish, rye bite, spicey twang. Mouthfeel was hearty and full, refreshing, dry. Nice on, IH! CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JUN 14, 2009
Growler sampled at Noog Four-0 5/31/08: Pours a transparent deep golden with a frothy-lacing white head. Aroma of piny resiny grassy fresh hops and lightly sweet pale malt. Body starts semi-sweet with grassy and earthy bittering hops, some grainy rye and spruce before a drier bittersweet finish. A decent rye IPA but could use more of a citrusy hop presence.
