Older bottle from GMCC, thanks Gabe. Poured a clear golden color with a fluffy head comprised of large bubbles that slowly receded to a bubbly layer. Aroma is fruity with notes of crisp apple and light pear paired with some honey-like sweetness and a light musty yeastiness with some light undertones of spice (clove and ginger). Smooth, lightly spicy entry with some light ginger that transitions into a fruity sweetness with hints of dried pear and apple skin along with some dried apricot that is followed by a moderate yeasty dryness with some lingering spice and soft undertones of apple. A little over-carbonated and too biting to be really enjoyable. Overall, it has some decent attributes, but the carbonation was so vigorous I began to wonder whether it was a sign of infection or not. It was decent, but it needs some refining.
Pours a hazy bright golden yellow color with straw colored edges and a one finger white foam head that quickly settles into thin, lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Earthy, slightly spicy aroma with a decent amount of farmhouse funk and eserty light fruit notes. Peppery with earthy hops, fresh cut grass and funky barnyard saison character. Slightly musty with hints of apple, melon and citrus rounding out the nose.
Fuller end of medium body with a nice balance of peppery spice, sourdough bread, funky yeast, pale malt and light fruit. Peppery with some spicy coriander followed by grass, straw, hay and musty barnyard yeast character. Pale biscuit malt with light fruit sweetness, notably apple, pear and melon. Sweeter than expected and could use a touch more funk but this is an easy drinking, enjoyable beer. iggynelix (136) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 30, 2015

I’m not a huge fan of saison-style beers, but this one was really delicious. This draft from Phoenixville poured a very cloudy and dark yellow color. There wasn’t much of a head, but some nice lacing got left behind on the sides of the glass. The nose contained some wild yeast, banana, clove and floral and spicy hops. The flavors were really well-balanced, with more banana and clove, along with some bread, yeast and grassy hops. The body felt very carbonated and lively. The finish was especially lively and featured more grassy and spicy hops.
