Cloudy copper color with aroma of fruit, caramel, and hops. Citrus sweetness along with some caramel. Quick hop bite at the back end with some alcohol. Nice beer! Sammy (12091) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2014
Very good drinking BW, with citrus flavour adding complexity to the organic caramel taste. Likely hoppier when it was young. BeerdedDave (1662) - Beckley, USA - OCT 14, 2014

pours an amber/ruby color with a huge tan head. aroma has lots of candied fruit, malty sweetness, and tea. flavor follows suit...candied fruits, toffee, tea, earthy bitterness and booziness. mouthfeel is medium and the finish is fruity/earthy and dry...warming. tgncc (3129) - Bellmore, New York, USA - JAN 15, 2014

Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with light retention. Aroma consists of light caramel malt with some and some bitter hops notes. Taste is also a mix of light caramel malt with some bitter tasting hops. Body is about average with good carbonation and alcohol is not overly prominent. Not bad but I’m not the biggest fan of American style barleywine and this one appeared to be a bit tired. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - SEP 18, 2013
On tap at IH Wilmington. Poured a hazy deep copper color with rusty reddish highlights and more than a finger of creamy beige head. Extremely sweet and malty nose with a hefty waft of caramel candy. Some earthy hops emerge in the back, as well as warm alcohol notes. The taste is smooth blended rich flavors, with sweet malts, sugar stewed cherries and raisins, dates and plums to start. Followed by notes of molasses mixing with a mild tingle of booze that thins things out a bit into the finish. Big and sticky, moderate carbonation.

A hazed amber Barley Wine with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity vinous malt with treacle, grassy notes, nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous notes, light fruity acidity, floral hops, pink grapefruit pulp, nice. Shared with GRM and Boutip. closey22 (1914) - Mt. Thick, rocky, tan head & red/amber hazy; perfect aroma per style, blend of malt, hops, and alcohol; flava is complex blend of acidic sweetness(blackberries) and dry/spicy hoppiness; feels medium bodied but very foamy on the tongue(which I like-some may not) that leaves my tongue tingling; finishes dry & sweet, leaving the tongue wanting more, and more.
This is one of the top barleywines I’ve ever tasted. And I haven’t rated all of them on this website. I’ve drank a lot more than are recorded here.
