20140602 taster at Wilmington. The beer is cola brown with lasting, shaving cream dense tan head. Peat and molasses aromas, plus a kick of alcohol. Initial taste was straight Robitussin, but it got better as it numbed. Really sweet, even for a doppelbock. Its a lot more than i was expecting, and I expected the business. Darft at IH Wilmington: Light black in color, lets a little light through. Small head that faded fast. Decent nose of roasted malts, light chocolate. Taste is a simple clean lage. Roasted malts, light chocolate, slight bitterness. Well balanced and easy to drink. Body is medium but crisp. Surprised the alcohol content is so high, the alcohol is hidden well.....Overall: A very enjoyable lager ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - JUL 14, 2010
On tap at Wilmington brewery. Poured a dark cola brown body with a two finger tan head that disapated to a ring. The aroma and flavor mirror each other with a mild sweetness, cocoa and ripe dark fruits. There is also hints of toffee and nuts. Alcohol is somewhat noticable in the finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 2, 2010
