Bottle at Max’s Belgian fest. Hazy maroon brown color, small tan head. Aroma of sweet and sour cherry. Taste is a bit acetic, tart dark fruit. Tasty enough, especially for being under 5%. Probably a sour red/brown though. Sammy (12098) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 29, 2013
Lovely wild yeast ale, with all the right bugs. Sent to me from Chestnut Hill location. Very smooth and cherry characteristics. No head, reddish brown coloured body. jbeatty (1247) - New York, USA - JUN 6, 2013
Bottle, 06/06/2013, thanks to FooFaa. Pours reddish brown, thin off-white head fades to a swirly haze on the surface, thinnest ring of lacing. Aroma has tart prunes and dark fruit, lightly sweet caramel and balsamic vinegar, wood. Taste is lactic acid, balsamic, brown sugar and cola, dry wood finish. Medium body, relatively slick and full for the low ABV. Not overly complex but pretty nice, true to style of Flanders Red. Atom (2418) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAR 2, 2013
Bottle thanks to RABinVA, pours a murky amber/brown with some spotting lacing for a head. Aroma of caramel, brett, and vinegar. Very light acidity, caramel, brett, and some cola in the taste. This is a decent beer but lacks a real punch to it and leaves me wanting more.
